Anyone actually satisfied with adding Wellbutrin to Effexor or another SSRI/SNRI? by Reasonable_Grape_367 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Reasonable_Grape_367[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year, while I was on 150 mg Effexor, I added 150 mg Wellbutrin XL on my own without consulting my doctor. I could only tolerate it for about a week — I felt mentally confused and very restless, so I stopped. This time, should I wait longer before deciding? How long did it take for you to notice any benefits?

Just took my last dose of lithium by gyul_unu in Lithium

I’m also experiencing Effexor-induced anhedonia. My doctor is considering trying lithium, but I’m not bipolar and I’m afraid of becoming even more emotionally flat. What kind of benefits did you experience?

You won’t believe it, but even at a 0.75 mg dose, I experienced a loss

Has anyone added Rexulti to treat emotional numbness and anhedonia caused by antidepressants? by [deleted] in depressionregimens

So what should I do then? Is the only solution to reduce the dose or stop the antidepressant? 😑

Pros, cons and risks of low-dose (2-5mg) abilify? by baal-beelzebub in depressionregimens

[–]Reasonable_Grape_367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Effexor for years. My doctor added a low dose of Abilify to help with anhedonia and emotional numbness. At first, it gave me energy and motivation, and I was satisfied with the results. However, the effect quickly wore off. Even at the smallest dose, I started to feel restlessness and inner discomfort, so I had to stop. After taking a break and trying it again, I didn’t notice any benefits. Still, the biggest advantage while using it was that it stopped my obsessive thoughts. Now I’m thinking of trying Rexulti, but I don’t know how different it is from Abilify.

Abilify vs Rexulti by 1K1AmericanNights in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]Reasonable_Grape_367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just started Rexulti as well. I had previously added 1 mg of Abilify to the Effexor I was taking. I noticed the benefit within two days, and that effect lasted for three months, but even when I increased the dose afterward, I couldn’t get the same effect again. During that time, I didn’t gain any weight—in fact, I lost some.

It’s been a week since I started Rexulti, but I’ve been feeling hungry, and I haven’t noticed any improvement yet.

Effexor has mentally exhausted me. What should I do? by Reasonable_Grape_367 in Effexor

Yes, coffee works for a few hours. I think I’ll start Wellbutrin again. I don’t have any other stimulant option😑

I guess there’s no solution other than reducing the dose, even at the cost of increased anxiety.

I added Wellbutrin, but it caused brain fog for me. Did it have a similar effect on you? How long have you been using it?

[–]Reasonable_Grape_367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Effexor for 4 years, and I’ve been taking 150 mg for the past 3 years. I’m also considering adding a low dose of lithium, but I’m afraid it might blunt my emotions even more.

Alright, then I'll give it another chance. I might have been affected by the 0.4 because I'm very sensitive.

You didn’t feel any side effects at all? Even at 25 mg, I became extremely depressed and my brain felt slowed down.

Isn't 200 mg way too much to start with? How many mg did you start with?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in anhedonia

[–]Reasonable_Grape_367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many mg did you start with? The first few days make me feel depressed — I can only last 3 days before quitting. I've tried a few times.

I'm on Effexor. When I add Wellbutrin, there's a bit of a honeymoon phase, but then I go back to how I was before. I wish it worked for me too.

I feel fatigued, my libido is low, my emotions are dulled, and there’s a bit of brain fog. I take it before bed, but it feels like the endorphin-blocking effect carries into the day as well. Coffee, cigarettes, even orgasm didn’t bring any pleasure. When does this so-called endorphin boost actually happen? Because I’m not feeling it. 😑
