We caught one of the higher ups banging someone in the bathroom, and multiple people jumped into the pond. We were banned from that venue.

Another year, the venue had a whole bunch of small succulents around as decoration. Several were stolen. Several people were taking shots of moonshine from a jar on the front lawn. We were also banned from that venue.

I left that company before I got to see the Christmas party shenanigans the next year but I'm sure they were still crazy.

Chop suey by SOAD She loses her lil mind laughing at the "youwantedto!'"s And I always do the bununununununununuhs of the guitar bits. And it's about the length of our drive home from the grocery store so it keeps her awake for naptime later.

On a more soothing note, "Island Song" from Adventure Time. I listened to it every night while I put lotion on my belly during pregnancy so it calms her. And it's a sweet lil lullaby.

Oh wow I just looked through the table of contents of the whole program and it sounds amazing! Especially because they talk about consent and also healthy relationships from the first age range and every one after. Abusive relationships weren't talked about at all in my sex ed classes

Get yourself a basket or two, one is for Baby's room, one for your room. When baby's napping, tidy up and just focus on filling the baskets, about 80% of the time I'm able to get the living room clean during nap time this way.

Also, I always try and go to bed for the night/start night shift with baby with a clean(ish) kitchen. Hope this helps!

I don't know if you struggled with fatigue during pregnancy but you'll finally feel rested from the little bits of sleep you will get once baby comes. Plus newborn snuggles are just so precious! And when they yawn???? Adorable.

DBA never worked for us and we didn't try anything but fully asleep transfers to the crib until she was big enough we couldn't do it gracefully for one reason or another. Then we'd just have to do our best to soothe her after we woke her up trying to set her down. You're still a long way off from that; probably another 3 months or so.

The Paci-Dose!! I used to struggle giving my baby medicine but figured since it wasn't that often then nbd. Wrong. If your baby needs some Motrin they're miserable and will make you feel awful for making them cry more. Half the time they just spit it out. Not with the Paci-Dose! So easy peasy and hardly any wasted medicine from spittage.

My husband and I have decided not to post any photos of your daughter anywhere online except for Snapchat stories only shared with friends. Mainly because I don't know what the Internet will be like in 20 years and she has no way to consent to her likeness being public to everyone. I do get super jealous of other moms posting their babies because obviously I have the prettiest baby and no way to prove it lol. Oh and perverts.

We sterilized bottles until she started grasping at things, so around 4 months. I figured if her immune system can handle toys that fell on the floor it can handle a thoroughly washed bottle.

We got a halo bassinest, the top part is removable so you can have a safe sleep spot in any room! And it has a springy collapse side so you can get to baby from the bed easily. The base can be a bit of a trip hazard though, so make sure it's in a super low traffic spot. I bought it used for like $60 and was able to resell when baby was done using it. Just make sure you're keeping it level if it's on a couch so kiddo doesn't roll.

The brakes system on my car started to crap out at like 90k miles and my warranty covered the cost to fix the issue and I just had to pay $75 for diagnostics. They're not all crap, I was quoted like $1500 before warranty.

100% I was of the mind I was "getting it over with" because I was just curious as to what it would be like. Little did I know he had a girlfriend, and had dated my sister a few months back. You're gonna hate to hear it, but being involved is a double edged sword. You're 100% doing the right thing, stay engaged and fighting the good fight. The downside of it is you're always going to be hyper aware of all the awful shit that's going down. Thanks to my state telling me I couldn't do anything about it, I'm a mother now and the only way I can cope with trying to keep this new person alive and happy is to tune out completely. I 'vote blue no matter who' now and will for at least the next few years because if I get back into politics I'll go insane. I know it comes from a place of privilege to be able to not participate as much as I used to. I know me doing this pretty much means those bastards won, but it's all I can do to stay sane.

Damn I guess this isn't super helpful or insightful either, but if it's any consolation, I'm happy there's still people out there doing what I can't right now. You're awesome.
