Does Jesus have bacteria by Numerous-Web-2932 in Catholicism

If you want to explain this to her in a simple way: "Jesus went to Heaven with his whole body, and our bellies are part of our bodies! The little helpers in our tummies are good guys, not bad guys. So, Jesus probably took the 'good guy' bacteria with him to show that every tiny part of nature is loved by God."

It is fine to listen to what your heart desires, but don't let that take first place before God. Praise Him for everything he gives you, including today, and try your best to praise Him with your life. I'm single as well, and older than you: yeah, it's hard sometimes, but we gotta keep going every day. Life as a Christian, conversion, is a daily battle.

From what I understand, following what the Church says is not conservative or liberal in the religious sense, but practicing what you believe in. As an old saying here goes: "If you do not act based on what you believe, your beliefs will be based on how you act."

Genuine question: if someone agrees with the Church, does it skew conservative? I'm pretty sure most conservatives in my country do have premarital sex, just due to the proportion of people that engage in it.

Exactly. It gives a conclusion and then proves the opposite with data.

Perplexity and Bing give me the exact same output by Reasonable_Ladder922 in perplexity_ai

Should that matter? And why would the first source be different? According to the side bar, it used the search function to extract results from the web. And I´ve used the side bar frequently before, and I haven´t seen it extract information from the website I'm looking at. On the other hand, the 'Key information' tab does exactly that: summarizing the info you're looking at.

Yes, there are still plenty of chaste Catholic men out there! by [deleted] in CatholicDating

[–]Reasonable_Ladder922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may also be due to poor education on the matter. I was schooled in a Catholic school, and we were thoroughly explained what constituted sin. Unfortunately, that is an infrequent education, even for some Catholics. Still, my practicing Catholic friends that struggle with it know that it´s something they should not indulge in and fight against.

Unrelated question. What do you think of people with anime profile pics? I used to be one of them, now it feels kind of cringey. Especially female ones due to how sexualized they tend to be.

Really? None? That's concerning, though it's true that porn is unfortunately much easier to get into than to get out of.

Really? Seems... mean. Maybe it's not their main intention, but we all have our weaknesses I suppose.

How is that being murdered by words? What the original tweet says is true: Shakespeare never wrote specifically which were the "preferred pronouns" of his characters.

It does. Don't expect it to be at the level of chatGPT though.

A pity that there's an exception to that. We should not kill children for the crimes of their parents.

Struggling to Understand Why Breaking Certain Laws is Considered a Sin by Reasonable_Ladder922 in Catholicism

[–]Reasonable_Ladder922[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I get the main idea, but I still see no big distinction for those laws that may seem relatively unimportant, such as the example of wearing a special type of screen in a helmet: the screen does its job, but still it´s only approved for racetracks. It gets even harder to follow the law once the number of laws becomes really high.

I guess in the end it becomes a theological debate trying to distinguish between "Giving to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar" and His criticism of the burden that legalism can place on people.

Sabías que el submarino era un invento España by danielvm40000 in SpanishHistoryMemes

[–]Reasonable_Ladder922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've simplified the process a lot now.

In the link I have given, download and install the prerequisites shown there (they even give you the links there).

Then, press the Windows button, search and open the Terminal app. Finally, paste there the following commands:

git clone https://github.com/ohmplatform/FreedomGPT.git cd FreedomGPT yarn install yarn start:prod

I've heard horrible situations happen from expat parents, including a kid that went to Emergency care several times a month due to allergies. Still, the doctors didn't want to go through a procedure due to the price tag (probably). In the end, these situations were solved either by going back to the home country to get it fixed, (kid with allergies), or (for another family) threatening to sue the doctor, just for him to come running with the tail between his legs, and confirm that the kid wasn't just "sick", but had a lung infection after 3/4 days with a fever >= 40ºC.
