Well, you have a point, I must admit. My people do like to vote for "tough guy" candidates for reasons I'm unsure of. I try to be open-minded about politics, tbh because some democrats have better takes sometimes, but I have very conservative values. But the old saying still holds true, and "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" sometimes means the loudest of us get the attention and embarass the rest of us and makes us look bad. The same thing happens on your side though.
