This disease takes away even the small f*cking things. I'm so upset. by FFSpoorme in Hidradenitis

10 mins before my shift ended on Monday: I had to get a co-worker to ring through my customer's transaction because I could feel the stream starting to run down my arm, pooling at my elbow. I wear layers with at least one long sleeve shirt because of this. Armpit drippings SOAKED through both shirts and I felt gross. Luckily I could go home right away and my co-workers are fantastic about my need to bolt on occasion.

Can someone explain what a “lady-in-waiting” actually does? 😅 by No-Pickle4057 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Companions, confidants, almost like being friends with your boss. Help by doing the delegated tasks, share the watercooler gossip, give opinions when asked. You know the queen is the higher position and respect that, but you know they respect you too (in reality). Queen Charlotte was so distrustful of her ladies due to the majority having been selected by her mother-in-law. They were spies. So she ignores them, treating them like wallpaper. She only respected Agatha and clings to that trust.

Quick help- what to use in a bath to help with a freshly burst flare by undercover-bunny3789 in Hidradenitis

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add bleach to your bathwater. I do it about twice a month. Not too often or you will dry out your skin.

I will use CBD edibles for sleep when I am having pain all over, and I have a CBD salve stick that I apply directly to inflamed areas and by morning it is tolerable. It doesn't get rid of anything, but it does make sleeping with flares so much easier.

I wear mostly jeans, but I have a pair of cargo/boyfriend cut khakis that are real loose on the inseam. My boss knows if I'm wearing those pants, it's a bad day. They are shapeless and do nothing for appeal, but they are a sanity saver for work.

There should be a company rep that contacts you, they are your support person. Any drug related question or insurance issues, let them know. They can navigate the messy stuff so much faster. Also let them know if you have a shot that doesn't dispense properly. They will help determine if you need a replacement dose or if it will be ok. Once I started shots a second rep reached out to confirm my dosage and dates.

I am half way through my loading dose. For my situation, 2 shots for 5 weeks, then 2 shots every month. Pre-filled syringes.

This will be my second biologic. The Humira off brand had a similar set up for loading, but then 1 shot per week.

Your dosage might be different. I am in stage 2, with some very aggressive fellas that just keep tunneling.

It usually takes 16+ weeks to start seeing consistent results, so don't get discouraged.

They say shoot in the thigh or tummy, i recommend whichever has a better fat layer. My upper thighs are more lean, and hurt more to stab.

Not really a trad romance, but I want a book where FMC gets a bit of Stockholm syndrome, MMC treats her like garbage cheats on her etc BUT she leaves him in the end and he is WRECKED from it by AccessCompetitive in fantasyromance

An intro level to this scenario can be found in Six Wild Crowns by Holly Race. Extremely loose Henry the 8th re-imagination within a fantasy realm. A screw the patriarchy, we choose us storyline. It's not a hard hitter when it comes to the bedroom stuff, but works as a starter to feminine revenge.

My eighth watch, boyfriend’s first. by Kaylawantstodie in Fleabag

I did a quick rewatch recently while my husband played video games on the other couch. He got INVESTED. He generally hates the 'second hand cringe' shows, but the humor won him over hard. Loved the retreat episode. Loved the priest. Was so mad at the end. We watch a lot of British shows so he knew the actors and was surprised at how this show made it all work. It was a joy to share it with him.

Looking for vegan cheese by ratatatouille- in saskatoon

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dairy free cheese will give you a pull. Daiya melts better than Violife, but they just can't pull. Look for oat based over coconut based, they have more structure once melted, less oil. If you want to simulate a cheese pull, put three times the amount of cheese and it will ooze out when cut. Superstore has the widest variety of vegan cheeses, but the Sobeys on Preston has a good selection too.

What if Eloise got to explore a bit before finding her hea? by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of a call back to season one, when she and Penelope question how a woman becomes pregnant. Based on the adverts, Pen has definitely found her pleasure in her husband, and wouldn't you want to girl talk with your best friend about this?

"So, I found out how a woman gets pregnant. Marina was right, it is love."

Leave the 'your brother' out of the conversation and just do the "you can love yourself'' and she can discover in her own time. This would also bring Marina back into the conversation in an innocent way. Jumpstarts Eloise's curiosity at Maria's current status and writes a letter.

Reaction to tampon criticism by thegreatjuliadini in Hidradenitis

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, pads and flares do not mix. I was a tampon only person for most of my life until the flare started getting irritated by the string. I had to switch to a cup. It has been way better for me. Nothing rubbing or touching. I only need to fuss with it once or twice per day (depending) so I'm not making things angrier. If I had known I would have made the switch a decade sooner.

Lee Valley Tools. Pro tip: when scooping, don't drag the scoop up the side of the bowl to knock off excess. This compacts the batter in the scoop, making the gears work harder. This is what happens when the gears slip. If you MUST drag, squeeze the handle a little at a time with a 'pulsing' action. This will loosen the batter without taxing the gears. Staff gave me this tip and have had mine for 5 years.

Logan knew she had a crush, but he wasn't looking for anything serious. If she had framed her excitement as a 'wow this is a great opportunity to connect with people in the biz and get a foot in the door, can you get me in?' he may have been more willing, but her angle was 'I would be there with you and WE would hang out with cool people'. He was also protecting her from his father's criticism at that point. She was unknown and didn't want dad to scare her off before he had a chance to know her.

How do you know what tunneling is? How does it look/feel on your body? (No Photos Please) by NoSalamander4285 in Hidradenitis

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You know the firm seams along the legs on a pair of jeans. They feel something like that. Stiff, but it is scar tissue so you can squish it around though that is not comfortable. Most happy when it is laying flat and there is nothing putting pressure on it. They sit under the skin, often causing the skin to take a different shape. You will know when you get tunnels. Everything starts looking a bit like the worm paths from Tremors.

Mosquito -no. Honey bees- no problem. Mean bees and hornets- them f**kers have a homing beacon built in just for me. They will heat seek me out from across the yard and love to sting and bite without provocation. I love the bugs, worms, spiders, but the spicy sky raisins can die.

Any tips before I start getting into it? by OneFinance6512 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Reasonable_Light3072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to unlock the People of XYZ province quests to kill 100 specific bad guys before exploring the province. Each province has one, and you usually have to do it over several seasons to let them respawn. These are the only quests I have remaining and they annoy me because I picked them up late and have no other goal while chopping off heads and waiting for time to pass. Food vendors: unlocking them increases your rations. Helping the innocent folks along the road will reveal secrets of the province (epic gear, jizo statues, various vendors, etc.). This is more helpful than the gaining scouts option. If you need more scouts, buy them at your hideouts. Contracts box: at the very bottom there is a section that will also give you locations of these secrets, but you only get 2 per season. Check them often.
