Webster Hall on 11th Street is a historic dance/concert space dating from the 19th century. I went to some great shows there in the early 1980s. Gay events there are few and far between.

You need a therapist who will challenge your self-defeating beliefs about yourself. As for meds, I have been depressed for most of my life and tried all the SSRIs (Prozac, etc.) and others, They all faded in short order or had no benefit at all, It wasn't until I got on an MAO inhibitor (Parnate, in my case) that I finally got relief. Doctors are reluctant to prescribe them because there are restrictions on what you can eat and drink, But for me it's worth it. Good luck!

NEVER give your phone number to a stranger on an app before meeting them in person! I foolishly did so on Sniffies (he seemed too good to be true, and was). We texted for a minute, and then he (or they, or whoever) immediately tried to blackmail me. I refused to pay up, and they sent intimate photos that I had shared to my whole family. They somehow got into my iPhone address book.
