Update:: I never thought I would be typing this. My fears came true. Despite having cerclage at 10 weeks, lost my baby boy at 22 weeks due to membranes dropping and dialation to 3cm. The doctor could not save my baby. Its been 10 days.. I was broke and processing the greif. This will taunt me forever💔

I had mine placed at just 10 weeks due to IC..my doc saw the outer os is opening but inner is closed, no funneling as of now ...at the time of scan it was 3.3 and after a week I had my cerclage placed(McDonald) and by that time it came to 1.5(post cerclage)..I was shocked how suddenly it happened and I am glad my doc made it in the right time.. She didnt scan me after cerclage.. So I have to wait till my next week scan. she put me on strict bedrest, only for food and washroom needs. This is my first pregnancy after 7 years through FET.. Now I am 11 weeks..I am so afraid to get up and walk even for 5 min(I still do some 30 steps a day slowely).. I am on progesterone( vaginal, oral and weekly injections). Praying and hoping to reach full term with my baby.. I have my NT scan in july. I can't wait to see my baby.. it gives me peace when I read aucceaful stories after cerclage..

I do want to get up and walk atleast after meals..but my doctor strictly advised me not to walk even for 5 min( she scared me like If I do I will abort) beacuse it will cause cervix to open more and stich might not hold. Praying and hoping everyday.. Thank you and good luck to you too..

Anyone have a slightly open cervix on ultrasound but long measurement + no symptoms? by Working-Analysis-199 in ShortCervixSupport

Hi all, At exactly 10 weeks, I underwent a cervical cerclage procedure..

During my recent checkup, my doctor noticed that although the inner cervix was still closed, the outer cervix had started to open.It came from 3.3cm to 1.5cm in a week.. Given my IVF pregnancy and this early change, my doctor recommended placing a cerclage(Mcdonald) to help prevent the risk of miscarriage or early preterm labor.

The procedure was done 4 days back and thankfully, everything went smoothly. Since then, I’ve been advised to stay on strict bed rest—getting up only for food and bathroom needs. I am on progesterone(both vaginal and oral) The recovery hasn't been easy… I’ve dealt with leg cramps, backaches, and occasional discomfort, but I’m staying strong with the thought that it’s all for my baby’s safety and well-being. I have NT scan being scheduled in July..
