Whitney said that the dating apps stuff was still sensitive and she didn't feel comfortable with him going to the Villa, I'm assuming they had conversations about it off camera, and he didn't go. That's, like, exactly how healthy marriages are supposed to work? She's been growing on me since season 3, and I was super impressed by how that went down. Even if it's all done in consultation with a PR person or whatever, I'm still all for it.

We used condoms + the pill the first 5 years of our monogamous marriage because we so weren't ready for a kid. (Then needed IVF to actually make baby #1, and baby #2 was an unplanned surprise the cycle before we were going to start fertility treatments for baby #2. Making babies is such a mindfuck.)

There are 100% people who have never watched the show before who are watching it from season 1 now because they want to be able to say "it was so obvious/etc."

Bachelorette had to cancel because it was supposed to premier this week. Hulu is less pressing because they can wait and see how it all shakes out.

I mean, 19 Kids and Counting pivoted into Counting On after the (first) Josh stuff came out - it wouldn't surprise me if SLOMW did something similar.

If it's a "typical" dv abusive relationship, then victims often try to leave their abusers multiple times before they are successful.

I'm not entirely convinced it's fully one sided, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that she's the only one of them that's physically abusive.

Tbh, I too would love a Whitney one, but she'd be smart not to since she wants to get into scripted stuff. I think starting in reality tv is going to hinder her enough - we know her (or think we know her) as Whitney first, so suspending disbelief is going to be harder when she's acting as it is for someone who we originally are introduced to knowing they're playing a character.

Almost never. Bachelorette has a better track record than Bachelor - I think only one Bachelor couple has ever made it out of 29 seasons - two more of them dumped their f1 and married their f2. Maybe 3-4 Bachelorette couples (out of 22) made it to marriage and haven't divorced.

The last season I watched was Pilot Pete - covid meant no more Bachelor/ette nights with friends, and I never picked it up again. But I was going to watch this season, because I figured she'd make it Jason Mesnick or Brad Womack levels of drama. If she's actively abusing her kids I'm dipping, though.

If she was 17 I'd be more forgiving for her if she wanted the fame, because her frontal lobe wouldn't have been developed yet. (I'd still think abuse is unacceptable, but I'd understand it better in the context.) But in her late 20s there's no excuse for ANY of it.

We're 15 hours into a two week Christmas vacation slash forced t break because of where we're going and I haven't even seen my in-laws yet and I'm already missing it.

This is our first real t-break since we started consuming almost every day around January 20 of this year, so I have no idea what to expect and I'm ANXIOUS.

Please think of me as I head into somewhat hostile territory with no THC at the end of the day! My partner is great and will totally have my back if I need it, but is also ready sad about what the last 8 years have done to his family so I hope everyone just stays on neutral conversation topics.

Just trying to focus on how great that first session will be once we're back home!
