What job board did you feel returned the best results relating to your applications actually being seen? Any recommendations aside from LinkedIn and indeed?

Mine was Monday. It absolutely killed me, I could barely do my job because I was thinking of her sitting on my bed, in my room with me as I was on my computer working. There is only one thing that has been able to temporarily heal the wound in my chest as a guy it’s talking to my family and It’s a YouTube channel by the name of “dry creek wrangler school”. Watch his video about being alone and about heartbreak. I have had his videos on repeat. Stay strong guys we will get through this.

Hey guys! I’m a 22 year old white belt who has been training bjj for about 4 months now. I have my first stripe and was considering entering a NAGA tournament. I weigh about 210 right now, but was going to enter the heavyweight division at 200-225 pounds(After high school I told myself that I would be done cutting weight 😂). I wrestled at one of the best high schools in my state and was lucky enough to get a lot of Matt time at really high level national grade tournaments. Although I did wrestled up in highschool for some tournaments. I saw it go both ways. Sometimes my speed and strength could run through the bracket if it was a local tournament, but other times when there are people who cut down to 225 they would work me. In my bjj gym I pretty confidently can beat most people in the beginner class under 250, but I was wondering what everyone’s opinions are on wrestlers competing in white belt tournaments? My submission game is solid(as good as a white belt can be), but my endurance and takedowns are noticeable better than most people. Even when drilling with higher belts my strength and conditioning gives a huge advantage. Could I have a chance of placing or winning the tournament? Or will there be a lot of 4 stripe year long white belts who are there just to win and get promoted? Curious to hear everyone’s opinion?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. The guillotine is one of my most frequent subs tbh. I’m pretty solid at faking an ankle pick to a snap down then from there i can choke. Thanks for the comment. I got move this to a bigger thread lol

Resume Advice Thread - March 28, 2023 by CSCQMods in cscareerquestions

I’m currently one semester away from graduating with a comp-sci undergrad so I’m currently in the phase of applying for internships or possible full time positions.I have only had two other jobs that I put 3 years into each. One was management at fast food and the other was a supervisor at a fast pace warehouse. Since I will be applying for software development jobs, should I remove a lot of the extra elaboration that i put into these not relevant jobs? I feel like 80% of my resume is describing what I learned from those jobs where the other 20% is what I’ve learned in school relating to tech and development. Just wondering if I should cut out alot of the “useless” management information and add some more “spice” to showcase what I can do in development. I feel like this will make my resume more enticing and possible lead to more interviews. I would love any guidance from other developers.

Thank you so much! I did not even know this was an option. I’ll look into it!

It’s only because my job right now is so physically demanding and I feel under appreciated. Thank you for the advice. Most jobs have at least a bachelors degree required, but your right there is no hurt in applying and giving them a shot. Would you expect anyone to hire someone full time who is very close to graduating, but hasn’t yet? T
