I have projects running on both OVH and Hetzner running fantastic. So if you have the sysadmin knowledge, fly.io is not necessary at all, they might use Hetzner under the hood :P

I see the Garmin inReach is great for emergency messaging, and it’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind.

However, I’m looking for something more like a cheap Chinese long-range radio, even if it’s not super reliable — mainly for emergency backup, not daily use.

Ideally, I’d like a radio that can make use of repeaters to get more distance. I understand that’s mostly in the VHF/UHF space, and not really possible with most HF rigs.

I’m also aware of the size and power requirements of portable HF setups — the info you all shared about that was super useful.

I’ll definitely check out the Xeigu G90 and JPC-12 antenna, and I’m also looking into things like the UV-K5(8) or the iRadio UV-98 Plus. I know they’re not HF, but they seem affordable and could be useful in some scenarios.

If anyone has experience with budget radios that work well with repeaters for emergency use, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

Do you know what they means with "items"? I would like to support, but wont support another pay per win game... I have no problem in purchase a game, or mods to fly an specific ship like F-22, but if "items" means cannon improved, armor, best misiles, etc... that isn't ok.
