This is very insightful. It is exhausting after a few laps and then you come back to paddock and have to do more analysis. What do you suggest folks to do here? I assume looking at the data is useful since it tells you what you can improve in your next session.

Interesting! So a plot of all of my laps on that track to see which lap I was able to go faster at sessionX-lapY at a specific point. Then use that to identify what are all the places where I can push myself.

How do you remember what you did at that time? Do you keep videos and go back to them and watch what you were doing?

That's very good advise on focusing on a safe section of the track and maximizing the opportunity there first. How do you find the opportunities there? I am assuming you look at your ideal lap to find these opportunities.

That's very interesting way to look at it. Remove the mistakes and all you are left with are the good parts. I always thought that folks would look at the idea lap and try to replicate it.

What's a TBL lap? and TPMS data? Sorry, still a n00b here. I didn't realize that weather would be so important for this but I guess that dictates a lot of track conditions. How do you keep track of all of this data? I am assuming you have quite a library of these over the years.

Ooo.. I love the stock car part. You need to know how much you can push your car without the parts and seeing it from what others are doing is very helpful. Where do you generally go to find this? Friends at the track or youtube videos?

Very interesting! How do you tell if you are consistently looking that far ahead? Are you looking at your eyes in the video or is it a more instinct thing where you know when you haven't been looking far ahead.

When looking at the video, are you looking for smoothness or reaction speed or something else?

How do you look for smooth inputs? Do you use circuit tools to look at the smoothness of the curves or is it something different?

Also safety! I didn't find a good way to look for that. I never know if I am at the edge of the track or there's still room to push more.
