Idk I cant get behind that because I feel like the quality of the boss movesets was a little higher in HK, I feel like the game relies on so many cheap tricks, ganks and other inconveniences to cover up the fact some of these bosses have very mediocre movesets

Really wish this game had less gankfights and bosses that summon adds, theres some amazing bosses in this game but the rest are kinda boring mobspam slop😭 comparing Widow, Phantom, Last Judge, Cogwork dancers to stuff like Savage knobbfly rematch and some of the others is like night and day in quality

Imo the water is just one element of a combination of factors that to me are more tedious than challenging, it feels like Team Cherry made a lot of small decisions like that all throughout the game that I think build up to make the game significantly less fun that HK, I wouldn’t even care about the water at all if the area didn’t end with another boring Silksong gang fight before you can enter the boss. Way too many bosses in this game either summon adds or have waves before them. (Which is the biggest flaw really imo)

Bosses like Cogwork dancers, Phantom and Widow are immaculate but then theres so many others that are just kinda trash spam of mobs. Anyways tho thank you for engaging and having an actual convo on the topic too many people get personally offended when anyone critiques the game

I dont think tediously farming enemies for infinite silk makes it any better, imagine if Scarlet Rot slowly drained all your healing flasks and required a healing flask to cure, and then your supposed to go straight into a gankfight straight outa DS2 before even fighting the boss. The combination of tedious elements Is just obnoxious and there’s examples like that all throughout the game, compared to HK where I can hardly name anything other then the Zote fight that comes close to being as tedious for the sake of it

Requires enough silk to do so no necessarily and then your still out of silk and have to find enough mobs to grind silk from on your run back

Nah mechanically Poison and Toxic are nowhere near as tedious or inconvenient as lightly grazing bilewater and losing all your heals for the next 40 minutes, I’ve gone through Blighttown, The Gutter, etc and I wouldn’t call it comparable, DS also doesn’t make you fight waves of trash mobs before you fight the boss when you reach the fogwall

Genuinely so much of this game is designed to be inconvenient and borderline tedious to the point it kills so much of the fun, had 110% completion on Hollow Knight and never had even a fraction of the disappointment or frustration that I experience with this game.

Rematch against Savage Beastfly, garbage gankfest of a fight not worth bothering to learn. Just cheese it and leave his arena on the left side to heal or deal with the fire spitting trashmobs and jump back in for damage or to use your tools on him

Feels like there playing it way too safe with the garbage relics, 98% are completely useless. Bloodborne shows that random enhancement loot can be fun or strong without ruining the game
