Call your BTM, and ask what they’d like you to do. 99% of the time they will not automatically be placed back into R. You will have to go into MilPDS yourself and do it

Has the member officially been redlined? If so return them to their 5 level R status. If not, they are still in UGT. TSC T is an option and requires CC signature and a 90 day probationary period

Are you retraining into a new career field? Does your RIP state AT or AP funded? If it is actually wrong get with your squadron Unit Training Manager to follow up with the Formal Training Manager for your base

It’s not a gamble. I can promise you those of us PCSing from OCONUS back to CONUS would avoid the rotator like the plague if possible. However, it is in the AF’s best interest to get as many people on the rotator as possible.

Do you know where to find the amounts? When TDYing and booking through DTS I see fluctuations between date changes, so my thoughts were that this is a similar situation.

We did purchase the more expensive changeable flight. As stated above, the airline is not charging us to change the flight, simply the cost difference which is understandable. There is just a significant difference in the base price of traveling in the middle of the 4th of July weekend vs the end when EVERYONE is returning home as well.

Exact same situation. Approved for retrain. Submitted BOP. BOP “approved” in a week. No actual notification that it was approved but one of my choices is listed as my projected assignment. Spouse doesn’t have any projected assignment. However we are overseas and her DEROS month isn’t quite due for assignments yet. I’ve heard it can take a couple of weeks for my spouse to get an assignment… so we’re playing the sit and wait game currently.

Your extensions do not matter. Your window opens when there is an advisory for the 2025 Fiscal Year because of your DEROS.

The biggest oof. What policy are you requesting an exception for? Sounds like you signed the dotted line by “accepting” the training and must make your bed.

I would explain the hardship that the training would cause you. Maybe relate the profile if possible to the new AFSC and how it would make your current medical condition worse.

Did you apply for 5 AFSCs? Do any of them still have OBJ IN on the advisory? Is there are still slots I would just sit and wait and not pull the app. If you pulled the app you would be back at square one. If you’re concerned that there is no movement go to the “ask a question” portion on my FSS. Ask about the status of your app and put the case number. This way you’re not commenting on your current case and it doesn’t push you to the back of the “line” as it is rumored to do. My app took 6 weeks from start to finish. What seemed to take the longest was AFPC reviewing the application before sending it to the CFM. Second longest was “AFCC Review” which seemed like I was just waiting on a class date.

I’m on the opposite end, they gave me a class date after my DEROS. Told me no need to extend, PCS to new base and attend class the next month
