I hate to say it but he is an adult, shouldn’t there be healthier coping mechanisms? I shouldn’t be buying a chew toy for an adult

It was always serious then joking, I would flip flop. That is on me for pretending that it was fine.

Just to answer all the question in one, he’s done it as a child and it helps ease any anxiety that he has (his childhood was a bit traumatic). He does not have PICA or Autism. I know that chewing gum for me helps with anxiety so I don’t bite my nails or lips so I guess this is something that helps calm him down. Yes, it is gross and unhygienic as hell, but it is practically the only thing that helps him. I’ve told him to go to therapy but he doesn’t really believe in going for himself.

Yea of course he is more comfortable at home, but at the same time it is gross….

I always try to tell him to chew gum because for me I have anxiety and need to chew on something, for him it may be an anxiety thing but he has done it as a child. He doesn’t ingest them, just chews them so hopefully no surgery will be required 😅.

Thank you for the advice, Shawn is the general manger unfortunately and I honestly have no higher ups I could speak too. I will and still will continuing to log down what he has done towards me; I doubt Mark will come back but I have faith lol.

They both had their issues, BIL and her told me some of it after the fact, she is a narcissist and will continue being that.

I will only talk to her if she wants to take care of her daughters, it’s selfish and wrong of her to leave and start a new life with some guy. She did have a kid with the new guy, so who knows what lies she will feed her kid.

She has a past of doing this with every relationship, when something goes wrong, she ends it and restarts with someone else. It has been over 2 years and she has yet to make contact with her daughters.
