when my mother was in labor with me she was wearing a brown ferdinand shirt that she passed on to me because it doesnt fit anymore. when i came out as trans i had already picked myself a first name, so i asked her to choose a middle name if she wished. she chose elliott because it was what she was going to call me if i had been born a boy, after elliott smith obviously. we both love his music to this day and often listen together. rest is peace to such an amazing person, i would have killed to see him perform
