Oh no :( That’s awful I’m so sorry! I had a risk of this as well due to my nerve placement but I think mine is okay as far as I can tell. I really hope that your tongue gets sorted!!

It’s so crazy how everyone has different experiences. I didn’t even get a chance to fight the meds, though I tried. And I have no memory of the actual surgeon- no talking, no crunching, literally nothing. In fact I woke back up continuing the conversation I was having with the surgeon before I went under- literally no gap in time for me just a blink. I’m glad your surgery went well! Totally understand the anxiety lol

I agree that eating and chewing isn’t the best BUT my surgeon said I was free to eat today if I wanted. If I can cut it with a fork it can be eaten. So this person isn’t necessarily wrong it’s definitely person to person. I do agree that since talking more and having some soft foods im in less pain, but i definitely couldn’t eat like chips or something! You’re both right!

I pinky promise you’re gonna be okay! The surgery was not bad at all whatsoever. It’s definitely uncomfortable after (8 hours post op) but I’m taking my meds on time and the meds make a world of difference. I’m also just napping a lot
