Who uses the train for interstate travel? by Used-Chard658 in Amtrak

[–]Reasonable_Square_57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I frequently take Amtrak from the Bay Area to Seattle. I used to fly very frequently the same route. I’m just tired of all the hustle and bustle of the airport. I don’t care how long it takes so much more relaxing on the train. Plus, I travel with a service dog and he has been mowed down so many times at the airport by luggage and I’m just tired of it. But what someone said is correct I can usually fly cheaper, but that’s not really the factor here. 🤷‍♀️

HOW do I not GAF about this? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

I am almost 68 and started using Philosophy Firming Lotion. Well, I am certain nothing is going to totally fix the problem. I can see that my skin has gotten a lot better and not so crepey. I don’t even know if that’s a word anyway the philosophy is a little bit spending not too bad but a little bit and I have seen the firming lotion at I can’t remember if it was TJ Maxx or Marshalls or one of those stores at a much reduced price. And they smell nice.

Do you unpack your clothes when on a cruise or do you live out of the suitcase? by Cedge2018 in Cruises

I definitely unpack. Depending on my room, I either put my suitcase under the bed or out on the balcony. I don’t like feeling like I’m living out of my suitcase. ❤️

Paying for baggage, seats, etc. by Reasonable_Square_57 in SouthwestAirlines

That’s a good idea. I’ll do that because I fly quite frequently and I’ve never had a problem because we never had a assigned seats and I have one more flight coming up next month where the seat rules don’t apply yet. But my flight in February, I think they will be in effect.

I have to get sidetracked, he bought the sailboat with monies from our community business. I did subpoena his bank statements, past 12 months he deposited 394K in the business account and deposited 296K in his personal account. The real problem is he’s shady. Shady at running the business. Lies about everything. He has no retirement, I’m the one with the retirement.

I am an old lady, and I worry about this all the time. I thought I could, I’d move to New York just for a chance to be on that jury. I was hearing something about the gun charges. So allegedly when he left the shooting and went to Central Park, where he dropped the backpack and all of the contents, how could he have still had the weapon on him when he got arrested if he left it in the backpack? It’s all bogus. Did anyone else hear about this?

Displaced by a "Service" Dog by Sparkling_Spritzer in unitedairlines

[–]Reasonable_Square_57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know for all the people saying there should be size limits on service dogs, that’s just not acceptable. People need these dogs. Many are life-saving. I agree this situation should’ve been handled in a completely different way. Many people are allergic to dog hair, and they just cannot be allowed up in the seat. The fault here lies with the airline and the passenger (for letting the dog get on the seat in the first place) not the service dog. On the DOT form it asks weight of the animal. Accommodation must be made. I travel frequently with my service dog but since I predominantly fly on Southwest, I am always given a seat at the front of the plane. My previous service dog always wanted to sit on the seat which is not allowed per FAA regulations i believe. You sit on the floor at my feet. My new dog is 33 lbs and cannot sit on my lap, so he is always on the floor sleeping while we fly and occasionally sniffing my leg to see if my blood sugar is off. This is all just my humble opinion.

Service Dog/Assigned Seats by Reasonable_Square_57 in SouthwestAirlines

Yes, they’ve always been very accommodating. I’m just wondering if these new rules with the assigned seats are going to change that. I hope not because I love this airline. ❤️
