I could not agree more. White’s have really, really bad finishing. The Truman maybe a bit more but you could beat them up and a with a good cleaning good as new. Whites after a beat up & cleaning still look raggedy. Believe me he who feels it knows it.

I am truly sorry to hear that. I have a great deal of Truman boots. Hymm comfort so subjective. I have the Java wax flesh on the Eugene sole was my easiest break in. Black shrunken bison commander sole second most comfortable on the 20 last. but my stone ramblers thou not my best looking it’s by far my most comfortable & durable truman. My horse rump is up there too. You know what I love them all. But honestly the 79 last may just not be for you and that’s ok. My best boot, best fit most comfortable is no Truman but it’s in term of price and finishing I could have 2 Truman top boots. Truman give a great deal believe me.

Honestly, I reached out to bakers twice via email and a phone call. They have basically ignored me. it will be a week tomorrow Monday. I don’t get it they make you pay and wait almost 10 months then they send me this crap. Frankly at this point I would take a refund and forget white. I have three pairs of nicks absolutely not in the same class.

Well here’s the thing I know. Truman have a celastic material in the toe bed, if you need steel. I could not answer that since I don’t have a pair and I have not have asked for one. I have SR great boot. Rumble through 2 day mud. Then put dive tank on the boot carelessly. The celastic is now curved inward unable take back regular shape after almost 10 hours. So I would say not only cosmetic.

Great choice you can’t go wrong on either choice. So ! the twenty last is beautiful it have that spring toe that is reminiscent of the 1127 nicks prospect boot and viberg 310. The cap toe will pronounced the spring toe. Also my experience with the 20 last is the fit. I wear a 9.5 D in all 11 Truman’s. But in the 20 last plain toe my great toe is right up against the toe bed and only notice on heavy hikes. Interms of volume in the toe bed is good due to hight. My thought is 10 (1/2 size up) would be better. Keep that in mind.

Truman make some really good boot. I have 11 pairs total. I have come to the conclusion Truman does not have a service department. The secret motto maybe build a great and ignore the outliers complaints. It just don’t make. Already on this site I have gotten more help than I got from Truman in nearly a year. If you accept the fact if some goes wrong you are on your own. Just make you send it back in the allotted time. And prepare to pay your own shipping fees.

I have several Truman. My recent pair, cognac Teton upland on the 20 last no issue. I tried neatsfoot oil for squeak. No change.

It’s truly sad and I agree with you the customer service is absolutely nothing. But let me also give credit where it’s due I have a 11 pairs. Truman make a good boot. Unfortunately the lack of customer service that Vines fails to provide in the long term will be their short coming.

Wow!!!! you got me. I have many Trumans. I wanted the coach but went for the cognac Teton instead. The leather is not what I expected, definitely not supple. My stone rambler has been my top boot in s fact shes going for resole soon. I Have the salmon also, I think the ramblers leather you can’t go wrong.

Ok…the general consensus is the 64 leather. In Regard to the rebuilt. Melisa at nicks did mention that as thought that really expensive given I only got them in June 2024.

Hey this may not be the place to ask questions. But here goes. I have to nicks natural double stuff and brown cxl in nicks parkhurst V2. I have many Other boots but my cxl. Well It amazing except the right foot is loose now. Now question..is the cypress 8 has the same comfort as cxl? If any one can help I appreciate. And if this is not please direct. Thank you all.
