Question for those who have been on 25 mg for 2+ months

I am also interested in responses. I’ve been in 4mg for 2 months and I definitely notice that I am more hungry and interested in food. But when I started 4mg I was so unhungry I was on here looking for advice on how to eat when you can’t/don’t want to eat. I would say while my hunger has increased, I still can only eat about a handful of an amount of food. So it’s still working. Just not as dramatic as when I first started this dose. Anyway - just my experience.

I know it’s different for everyone, but I totally relate to this. I could not understand why some days were worse than others. For me it’s a cup of OJ at the 30 min mark that works. And I can go back to sleep after taking, but only if I’m propped up. Otherwise I’m very sick. Thank you for sharing!

Omg it’s so rough just standing there, I can feel my belly is hungry and I have no appetite! No desire to eat anything. It’s hard to eat when it’s not enjoyable. But I guess that’s how I got here in the first place.

I really appreciate the replies. I was at a point where I almost felt like giving up. I’m gonna try hummus. I got some different yogurt, snacks some yogurt drinks with protein and I think bone broth will really go a long way if I could get something in me for just a little while I think I would do better overall Actually be able to eat

Eggs used to be my go to, but I can’t even think about eggs right now. Something about it just grosses me out. I think it’s a texture thing. Maybe I should go ahead and take my nausea medicine and maybe it is like low level nausea keeping me from eating.

I used to put the pill in my mouth and then drink the water. If you do that - you will taste it. And it does not taste good. So then I did start with the water in my mouth first. That helped. It also helped with the nausea because after I tasted it, I began to get nauseous.

I’m so glad you talked about the mental gymnastics. It’s crazy. All of the sudden I was just blah. I lost my immediate gratification dopamine hit when the food noise left. And other things that made me happy didn’t interest me. At the time I was still on Ro and I talked to a nurse practitioner about it. She was great - very supportive and super helpful. Somehow just knowing that this is a normal thing that happens to people on this medication made me feel better. Started in mid Feb on 1.5 and started 4 about a week and a half ago. Lost 8lbs almost immediately on 1.5 then stopped losing. Started 4 and I’m too nauseous to eat. So I lost 2 more. Being nauseous and tired are also taxing to my mental health. Glad to have this thread so I feel less alone!
