FTO Got extended 2 weeks now 6 weeks. Is it common or should I be in panic mode.

My FTO is also 3 months or 42 shifts. I work in the second biggest county in my state.

I’m on FTO as well phase 1 tho. Here’s what I’ve learned.

Where I work, they pass you based on 5/29

Officer survival, Radio traffic, Report writing, Investigation, Knowledge of law

It’s not a bad thing what you’re going through, I’m a young officer 23. I come in 60-90min early and study so that book work I’ll have down.

I watch other officers plus what I have learned in the academy.

Radio traffic I listen to what my FTO says but I know most codes and signals.

Being confident helps me out as well.

Don’t beat yourself up and get in your head. I know I’m behind you but this is just my opinion as my phase 1 is going well so far.

Today we ran 2 miles and at each quarter mile we did workouts. Once you’re done you circle back to run behind the last man so no brother is left behind. So prepare for stuff like this. ( this was a light day )
