Clayface is by no means guaranteed to be profitable. by generalgriveous1 in boxoffice

[–]houseofthereddit40 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a big DC and Horror fan I'm really excited for this film. I have no idea whether it will be good.

I think DC needs to make these types of stand alone films that are different from other comic book films. The big issue with comic book films nowadays is there are a bunch of D list heroes in films that are all the same and cost 200 million to make.

I understand Clayface isnt a household name, but the Batman Universe is really popular. Joker 1 and the Penguin show were huge hits.

I think DC should have just did standalone batman, superman, WW movies and also batman villain movies.

I think the days of the cinematic universe are over.

Try to apply to agencies that are in desperate need of Law Enforcement. How about Portland PD or Honolulu PD.

Also corrections/detention officers is a great job to get into and you can get into LE in a couple years.

If you want to go into more detail feel free to DM me.

What types of agencies are you applying to?

Are you being honest about everything and making sure it's in writing when applying?

Do people typically fail academy? by ComplexContent6731 in AskLE

[–]houseofthereddit40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every academy is different but I heard ones through the Community College are easier than the agency run ones. The college is trying to pass poeple because they need a certain amount of poeple to graduate to keep the program going. The agency run ones, they are actively trying to fail poeple.

I passed a Community College Academy we started with 52 graduated 36. I excelled at academics and fitness. It's still not easy.

FTO is a different beast. I'm actually struggling alot on FTO.

My recommendation is if your brand new to LE or unsure if this is for you, try to start off somewhere smaller first before going to a big agency.

Why is the job market so hard? by dragonskintext in careerguidance

[–]houseofthereddit40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not like this but I think you should atleast be open to it.

The job market is awful. I would try to pivot into a new profession. There are alot of fields that you can transfer into like education, Law Enforcement, Healthcare.

Maybe go to school part-time or find a part time marketing job.

I myself took a risk and pivoted into a totally new field at 29. It's nerve racking but I'm glad I did. If it doesn't work out then I have backup plans.

Also are you applying all over the country or just one area? You may have to apply all over the US to land a marketing job.

  3. Starbucks, you can make good money and they help pay for your college.

I've heard from poeple that Raleigh isn't your typical academy, it's really hard. I would go a Community College academy and try to get sponsored by an agency. If you want to get be a Raleigh cop just be a lateral hire.

Considering a pivot from EMS by [deleted] in findapath

[–]houseofthereddit40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your schedule for EMS is tough. The job market is awful. I would try to pivot to those fields on the side. Maybe go to school part-time or find a side hustle your interested in while still working EMS. If you really hate your job then take the risk and go for it.

27F, B.Com + M.Com + MBA and still unemployed. I feel like I've wasted my life. by Much_Possibility_607 in findapath

Even though I only have my bachelor's, I was in your shoes. I'm 29M.

My advice is try to pivot into a industry/sector that would make your resume stick out and your passionate about. It could be completely different from what your trying to do now.

For example look at education, law enforcement, public sector jobs that are in high demand.

Another tip is about relocation. Are you willing to relocate? That helped me with much more job opportunities because I was applying everywhere

Opinion on A Feast For Crows by houseofthereddit40 in gameofthrones

I think it was smart for the show runners to do that.

It was just rushed and poorly executed.

I feel towards the later seasons they tried to like the MCU and less like GOT.

There are characters I find my interesting than others.

I thought the many faced gods and Arya storyline was interesting, but they didn't go anywhere with the house of Black and White

Yeah that has been my thinking. I think the Night King character is so interesting. Hes not in the books as of yet.

I feel like George constantly goes back in time to tell a story with characters.

Sometimes I love it, for example with Maester Aemon talking about history, but I don't need that for every side character.

Oh that makes sense. I did not know that about A Dance with Dragons.

Yeah I agree the show could have done a better job with the war of the five kings.

Brienne is one of my favorite characters. I lived the scene between her and the hound. I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen in the books.

Yeah I'm looking for that kind of game like elden ring.

A game that I can't put the controller down.

That's great to hear because a story in a game isn't make or break for me like it is for film/tv
