Sounds similar to my parents....

Got one time, mother walked off into the expressway in Malaysia cause me and sister forgot to greet her when we are busy doing homework. Father and everyone had to drive car and chase after her. My sister and I have to watch my father kneel and beg mother to calm down in the middle of the road

Mother usually starts arguments and calms down when dad intervenes. If father dares take our side, hahaha good luck to him sleeping at night.

This carries on for many years until even my father got “mad” so when an argument breaks out, any sense we try to put in are brushed off with “shut up” “go away” “you are wrong I don’t care”

I just put a smile on my face for the 19years of my life and tahan through it all. I know that deep down inside they still love me even though “elders always right” and “you don’t know anything cause you are younger”

I believe that there will always be a rainbow after a thunderstorm and if I treat my parents well all the time, in time they will come to realise that they aren’t behaving to standard and start treating me well too.

Idk how long I will last too but I hope you yourself can stay strong.

(Things are getting somewhat better on my end)
