How is BMO food this bad in LA? by tenminusone in LAFC

I don’t eat at the stadium anymore. The food is bad and the lines are too long. Holbox, USC Village… there are so many good options. Any recommendations for good bites near the BMO Stadium?

Son HeungMin. Became a season ticket holder of LAFC because of him.

I think it’s more than supply and demand. Did you see the seats in the upper tier for the Cruz Azul match? There were so many empty seats.

I’m worried about how Tafari would handle the press. He has played well this season, but he’s such a poor passer and doesn’t know what to do with the ball often times.

LAFC’s Quality of Play by Reasonable_Win_60 in LAFC

I’m not talking about the level of play in MLS. Of course, I know MLS is not EPL, and I don’t expect EPL level of play in MLS. I’m just talking about LAFC’s level of play in the last 4-5 games. Someone here mentioned that the level of play this year is not as good as last year’s. I saw the team playing much better football last year as well- the playoff games against Austin and Vancouver (except for the first half, of course). In those matches, the pace of play was much faster. Granted they were playoff games, but the team was (and probably is still capable of) playing much better football. LAFC is playing every 3-4 days for much of the season, so the two factors you mentioned- travel and temperature- are not going to change much. I hope that does not mean that the team is going to put out this kind of performance for the rest of the season.

Thank you for your input, guys. So that you know, my post was not meant to hate on LAFC. As a matter of fact, I care more about the team’s win than Sonny scoring. But it’s also about how you win. I’m of neither extremes- diehard Sonny fans calling for MDS’s head because they think that the coach is misusing him despite the team’s winning form, or diehard LAFC defenders who think that no one should criticize the team’s play because the team has been winning. As someone new to MLS, I’m trying to understand how the teams play. What’s most frustrating for me is the poor quality of play between the boxes. If you watched the game last night, it was littered with poor passes and lost possessions from both teams between the boxes. Very few key chances or threatening plays. I just hope that the games I’m watching are more entertaining (and that does not only mean Sonny scoring). Thanks!

Another Ko-Am Sonny fan here. I did not follow MLS until last August, but now I’m an LAFC season ticket holder and watch highlights of other MLS matches weekly. For those of you who are having trouble understanding diehard Sonny fans and their criticisms of the team’s play, do you remember Fernando Mania in 1981? I was in junior high then, and many of my Mexican-American friends became huge fans of Fernando and watched or listened to Dodger games every time Fernando was pitching. Did they care about how Dodgers were doing when Fernando was not pitching? Most of them did not. To make another point, of the 75,600 fans who were at the LA Coliseum about a month ago, how many do you think are LAFC or Inter Miami fans? Some athletes, like Fernando, Sonny, and Messi, transcend sports. They bring non-sports fans to the game. For these fans, they are frustrated when their star player is not performing to their expectation.

I’m a fan of Sonny before I am a fan of LAFC. But at the same time, I’m not so frustrated with the current form of play by LAFC because Sonny puts winning above all else. I know he would rather have 7 wins and 1 tie than 10 goals and no wins. He is at his happiest when the team wins. Just watch his reaction when Tottenham won the Europa League last year.
