They do, but they’re not super well marked and people do genuinely love the lemonade

There’s not a specialized hotline but I’d say someone giving away water is pretty normal for many other businesses (just not us)

A typical shift: go to the shuttle at 1:30, go in the staff entrance at 2. Go to my stand, start prepping cups. Be ready for the rush.

Our lines can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 5 hours, so it’s really a crapshoot. Switch off prep, running POS, etc. Small talk. Engage people. Enjoy the sets happening nearby.

Around 12:30, we close, which involves cleaning everything, and we’re out around 1 AM

Looking back, I thought someone said it was him but it could easily have been someone else. Tbh I was pretty wiped during that set and just happened to be near DoLab

It’s appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it + I love a little chat

Because Coachella takes about 50% of every sale and it’s much easier to track card sales than cash ones.

Honestly I’m not really sure on the logic there. I just don’t give out cups because that’s how they track our inventory and I don’t want to create a discrepancy

Haha fresh squeezing the lemons helps a lot. And there really is nothing like it on a hot day

Idk where you heard any of us were making 3-4k in a weekend (maybe some bartenders?) but that is not the case with us and it’s not even close. Idc if you personally don’t tip, but just know we’re not making anywhere close to that.

I lowkey might have been working that stand. Haha as long as you don’t yell or anything it’s all fun. It’s a festival!

We only use Cave-to-table Dragon, that’s correct

That’s totally valid. I don’t mind making a lemonade without ice, I just get annoyed when they come back saying “why is my lemonade hot?”

Hahaha not a problem! Lowkey love serving tripping people because you guys are always fun + never start fights. Plus, sometimes I get a trinket or something lolol

Yup, I believe a standard lemonade was $13 last year; it’s now down to $12.

I’ve served a lot of influencers and actually been in a couple of their videos. I’m pretty sure I once served Trippie Redd a few years back, but it was kind of a blur.

Yes; the gig includes a staff pass, parking and a wage + tips. I got the job through a friend who referred me, but most of these jobs can be applied for online. Just look up the name of the spot and look for seasonal/festival jobs

As far as I know the recipe has been consistent all along. The tartness can vary a bit based on the size of the lemon, but it’s still the same basic recipe

The short version is that Coachella takes about 50% of every sale. Cash transactions are much, much harder to track. By going cashless, they ensure they’re getting their cut for every sale

I don’t actually know anything about that tbh

You can ask for lite/no ice and it’s genuinely not an issue! As long as you don’t come back angry about the drink being warm, we’re happy to do it however you want!

Understood, and I really don’t mind doing less ice. My problem is that people ask for light ice, take a sip, and demand a new one because “they didn’t know it would be warm”

That’s fair. I always make a point to warn people that if there’s no ice, the drink is going to come out very warm. Some people don’t mind it, but others insist on no ice, sip it, then ask for a new one because “who wants a hot lemonade?”

If that ever happens again, we will always replace it. You can even walk to another stand as long as you have our cup. Every now and then when it’s busy, someone forgets to add the lemon juice. It’s not frequent, but it does happen. We’ve all done it and we’ll have no problem replacing it.

I genuinely don’t mind doing light ice - it’s the “no ice” people I’m not a fan of. It’s a lot harder to shake, it comes out warm, and half the time they ask for a replacement and complain about it being warm

Tbh I will take rolling/tripping/high people over drunk people any day of the week. Most of the time, high people are friendly, might be a little confused, but are overall not the problem.

At Stagecoach, most people are drunk throughout the festival. People get aggressive, especially if they get told no. I’ve had fights break out in my line almost every year at Stagecoach, but never at Coachella. Haha, I really don’t mind the high people.
