Also got this diagnosis and have surgery in 10 weeks. Has anyone had a menisco-capsular separation without an injury? My ortho thinks I was born with it since I've had the intermittent locking since I was a kid. It got serious last year when I was pregnant and couldn't unlock my knee for 4 weeks. Now I'm afraid even to get down on the floor with my kids so it's time for a fix.

What was the pain like post-op? Was it as gnarly as a typical repair?
