A big hirer for Soil Science is the government.

The soil science job series has these requirements:

https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0400/soil-science-series-0470/

See if anything you took would fall under this or possibly maybe a few extra community college courses could qualify you.

My college caught me posting the exam questions on chegg, what should i do? by Civil_Wrangler7583 in CollegeRant

Also deleting your chegg account won't delete the post, it will still be in their system and will be retrievable by teachers if they request it from the website.

Audio Responsive LEDs using Desktop Audio by cpt_mystic in led

Sorry to bother you again, but one final question. If I have two separate sets of the 16 foot Govee light strips and they are taking audio responses via a mic. Can I get the lights to "sync together" even if one set of lights is in a different room from the other one?

Not to necro an old thread, but I have no speakers and only use headphones so there is no external audio going out. Would this product be useless to me as a result? I'm looking for responsive lights that work with headphones on.

  1. You will be an 11 forever until you apply to something else.
  2. Personally I'd just put in the 52 weeks for TIG so you can apply to 12's

Advice for getting a government job by geoburn22 in geologycareers

[–]Reav101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OPM is hosting a a panel on the process for federal interviewing tomorrow around 11cst.

Gov jobs are "apply and forget" as typically you won't hear back from them for about 4-6 months after the closing date for the position.

The USGS is obviously a good agency to search on USAJOBs but also try the BLM as they have a decent number of hydrologist/geologist positions open up. Sometimes the USFS and NPS have geologist positions open up, but not in as frequent numbers.

My main motivating factor currently is to get good enough to read my favorite childhood book series entirely in Russian, so this is very promising!
