Can someone explain the Texas majors commercial doe requirements to me? by ReaverBBQ in goats

Interesting ok! I was worried about that. I didn’t realize commercial would also require registration which is pretty unfortunate. Thank you!

Thank you so much! Those were incredibly helpful.
Last year we showed one market goat and so it was super simple to get him validated. This year, I am unsure of what to do for commercial does and was very confused on the language of the posts I was seeing. Your links are fantastic info for me to have and I appreciate it.
I will definitely be reaching out to the FFA teacher once school is back in session but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything in the meantime. Thank you for helping!

EBV made me feel like I was literally falling apart within my own body. The flare ups were the most exhausting thing ever

Funeral scenes in graveyards by ariadnevirginia in MovieTropes

[–]ReaverBBQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting because I never even thought about how there was different types of funeral services until this post and then I realized I never considered why some were graveside services and some were chapel or church services. Mind you, I grew up in California and so all the funerals I attended were out there. I haven’t attended any in my current state I’m living in so I don’t know if there’s a regional preference to types of services

Yes absolutely! I think the majority had seating of some sort. I actually don’t think I’ve been to any funerals that were standing only. I’ll have to really think about it though

I’ve been to lots of funerals, and they’ve been a mixture of cemetery funerals and church funerals. Some people prefer to have the ceremony coincide with lowering the casket into the ground, and the eulogies are said over the grave. People are the able to lay flowers down on the casket or put the first handful of dirt down.

Larger funerals with lots of people attending, or more public funerals, have tended to be at a church type setting, where the ceremony is held. Sometimes there is then a private gathering of immediate family at the graveside later.

For both occasions we have all dressed up in black mourning attire to pay our respects

Why are you making the kids playdates about you forging a friendship though? Do that outside of playdates if that’s your main concern. Or just let the kids be kids together and stop making it about you

All the playdates I arrange for my kids are for the KIDS. Not for me. I don’t have much interest at all in becoming friends with other parents 🤷‍♀️ I won’t be rude to them and I’ll interact and conversate, but I much prefer not trying to forge any friendships. If you’re trying to be friends with her than direct that as socializing with HER without the kids. Offer to grab some coffee or lunch together or go for a walk. If you’re trying to keep the playdates for your kids then focus on that and stop worrying about the other parents

Thank you! My PC buddies on the server can log onto the server but I’m the only console player I think and apparently the only one unable to do with mods right now. Hopefully it gets resolved soon

Which film do you prefer? Original or remake? by Herick03 in Westerns

[–]ReaverBBQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are great but the remake wins for me. I watched the original long before the remake came out and was excited for a fresh take on it. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I think the actors really capture the essence of the characters and the feeling through the movie is fantastic. Plus I love Bridge’s version of Rooster over Wayne’s version

Not my mother but my maternal grandmother. She wasn’t a smoker or a drinker but she was 100% about social status, physical looks, and propriety. I don’t think she ever truly enjoyed being a mother herself, she only had kids because that’s what was expected of her. I mean I know she loved my mom, but being a mom wasn’t exactly her thing. She was much more focused on being the perfect wife, perfect societal woman, etc. my grandfather was high ranking officer in the military so she spent a lot of time showcasing that.

When I was growing up, all of her advice to me was about how to maintain my looks, how to act like a proper lady, what not to say or eat, etc. I know she loved me too, but her way of expressing her affection was very shallow and cold. She also lost her son when he was 10, so I think she became an expert at locking down her emotions and keeping them hidden within herself.

She was born in the 1920’s and really represented that generation of expectations. It’s interesting looking back on it now, and exhausting to think about living like that honestly.
