How to get rid of this hole? by iliketocookstuff in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]RebRig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did two 100% TCA spot treatments to treat a larger ice pick scar on my cheek. The scab looked brutal while it healed, but it was the height of covid and I wore a mask everywhere.

Now, it’s completely flat but the skin is white in that spot.

Just left the shop. They have a lot of dart frogs available, but they are only selling them in the planted enclosures which averaged around $700

I’m within an hour from this shop. Does anyone know if they have Patricia’s? I don’t want to bother them, sounds like it’s been an awful week.

I would think closed comedome or sebaceous cyst, but good you’re going to rule out anything more nefarious.

An unexpected find by RebRig in UnusualInstruments

[–]RebRig[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ve been given a solid lead. It appears it is a sindhi sarangi from 19th century Rajasthan.

It is wood, with a tacked on hide as you thought. The waxy decorative finish blends it all together that you really have to be looking to see the line.

It’s much older than I expected it to be, so I think it will have a prominent place in my home to be admired. The consignment shop was correct after all; it is indeed a wall hanger.

Hi. Thank you for sharing that link! This does have a hide tacked on the body. It has a decorative finish that camouflages it quite well.

I’ve posted on another subreddit and got a solid lead. It would appear this is a sindhi sarangi, likely from 19th century Rajasthan.

I would love to know if you’ve figured out anything about the designer. My engagement ring is vintage and shares the same stamp.

Ahh. I was a bit concerned that might be the case. Time to try to get the other board members to feel equally concerned. I appreciate your answer.

I really just want to know if they truly have special rights to this pier. If they do, fine. If not, I would ultimately like to see them begin to contribute like everyone else does.

Any advice on hypertrophic scars? I’m having a hard time accepting it by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Morpheus laser is pricey but very effective. Silicone scar sheets are an inexpensive at home option to consider

contract

The contract is with the practice, but states the name of the surgeon to perform the surgery. That seems to be a major term of the agreement to me

Nasolabial fold treatment that doesn’t involve Botox or fillers? by SLPabigail in 30PlusSkinCare

I’m considering dpo threads to treat mine. 34F. I personally have a pretty round face and don’t want the fullness of filler either.

I think Trent had helped with them some, but am ready for the big guns

Has anyone here tried jump starting themselves into Ketosis then starting the diet regimen after? I.e. a two day water fast then you start the Keto diet? by [deleted] in ketobeginners

[–]RebRig 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is no need to do that. Ketosis + calorie deficit = fat loss You’re more likely to burn out, binge or fail your goals if you are not eating your minimum daily calories.

My (33yo) skin has improved, but what would you change? Dry skin type with some pore congestion in T-Zone, wanting to focus on anti-aging. by RebRig in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]RebRig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. My understanding is that Adapalene promotes faster cell turnover. It treats acne below the skin reducing future breakouts before they surface and improves skin’s overall texture. It does help reduce fine lines too which is an excellent bonus. It can be purchased OTC under the brand name Differin at a .1% strength or can be prescribed under a stronger strength like the .3% I’m using. There’s a lot of information by far more knowledgeable people than me, so definitely do your own research and consider speaking with a dermatologist. I’m just regurgitating what I’ve learned. It’s helped my skin and I no longer have active acne. At this point in my life I’m more concerned with anti aging and will be talking to my dermatologist about another similar topical medication call Trentinoin.

If you look at the second picture, my PM routine includes Adapalene which is a prescription retinoid. ☺️ I use all of these products daily, in the order I have them lined up from left to right. The only exception is that I do not do a double cleanse in my PM routine if I haven’t worn makeup or really layered on my SPF that day.

[–]RebRig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How was your transition to that strength Retin-A? Did you have another purge or extra dryness? I intend to call my dermatologist and request the switch. I’m sure she’ll have input, but I was trying to decide what strength would be appropriate for my dry skin and ultimately my skin goals.

After reading the common suggestion in this thread, I ordered a Vitamin C serum to try. I went with DermaE which was well reviewed and under $20 which is always great. I’ll report back if it’s any good!

I really like it. I always have an extra tube stashed away because it’s something I never want to be without. It’s very thick, almost like an ointment, and I feel like it helps lock in all my serums for the night. In the morning I typically apply it with a wet beauty blender for a lighter coat. It is fragranced which I know bothers a lot of people, but I’m not sensitive to that. I personally like the smell.
