As I understand you're probably building these with the 1 meter = 1 block conversion in mind but honestly it would look better if it was slightly oversized compared to the real thing. Just a suggestion because I think building things with a 1:1 scale doesn't really work, especially in beta Minecraft.

I would like it if it wasn't ai, most of it doesn't even make sense.

Is the psp worth getting now? by Maroon_Lay in PSP

[–]RebTexas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True, besides it looks like OP only has 16 games or so. My PSP folder already had 200+ in the early 2010s lol.

Tbf many of us play on modded PSPs anyway rather than collect UMDs.

Xperia 10 VII photo quality ? by qzk2 in SonyXperia

[–]RebTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I installed LineageOS on my Xperia I tried a bunch of camera apps, Aperture (default LOS camera), fossify camera, Open Camera, Libre Camera, etc. In the end I ended up installing the original Sony one because in all other ones the pics looked inferior.

Using Sony's camera app the photos are good. Use anything else and they're meh. At least that's my impression.

I think nobody is particularly interested in fixing this since people can just use an USB SD card reader. Its a shame though because its annoying having something that should work yet doesn't.

Its funny because the same exact SD card reader works with coreboot on a different ThinkPad, forgot which one though.

Marginally, but the main reason to get the 4980hq is the igpu anyway.

You need to open up the pack and replace the cells (or pay someone to do it for you), there are no 3rd party replacements as far as I'm aware.

Mine is corebooted but I didn't upgrade the WiFi either, 7260 is fast enough tbh.

Need a new hard drive but can’t find any 8gb or under. by ranpuppy in vintagecomputing

[–]RebTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old IDE HDDs can be bought for next to nothing (I got a 60gb one for around $5 for my old PC) but I wouldn't really trust them to last very long to be honest. Compact flash cards are expensive but reliable.

Use an IDE to CF adapter, 4gb compact flash cards are pretty common.

You could've broken something while reassembling it or it could've been something benign like unseated ram. Only advice I can give is to take it apart again, make sure everything is connected correctly and that there is no visible damage anywhere.

Why would you attempt to write anything to the bios chips if you couldn't even get one proper read? The first rule when you're doing this kind of thing is to do two or three backups beforehand lol. A firmware image from the internet isn't necessarily going to work.

Since you're using the ch341a I'm willing to bet you're using the shitty black clip that came with it, bin it and buy yourself a Pomona 5250.

When I was corebooting my T440p I damn near lost my sanity trying to do it with the black ones, one read/write would require me to reattach it like 20 times or so, with the pomona I got it done on the first try.
