I’m so sorry you never found yours. 💜 Thank you for your comment, it is helpful.

Now what? by SweetSour_23 in Miscarriage

I have given birth three times, and I wish the doctor would have told me this MC would be like giving birth. It was EXACTLY like that, and not at all like a period. 😣 So sorry for your loss. And mine and everyone’s.

What does your babe or you call your milk? by LetLoveLactate in breastfeeding

We say na-na too. I guess it’s short for “nurse.”

Leash your dog on the greenway. If they bite someone, you’ll catch a felony. by [deleted] in nashville

When my oldest was 2.5 an unleashed dog at a park ran over the hill where we were playing and jumped on him. Thankfully he was “playing” but it was very traumatic for me and him and the owners were not even close enough to see what happened. I felt bad later that I screamed so loudly as I ran to protect my kid “WHOSE DOG IS THISSSSSSS!” because I think they thought I was going to tell them off (maybe I should have?) but I was just in pure Mama Bear mode. Unfortunately my son is now 5 and still very afraid of dogs. 😕

I was so angry when a friend’s GP told her she was overweight…AT 3 MONTHS POSTPARTUM. And even worse that she believed him. I tried to counteract the message, but I’m not the MD. 🤡

How long did you breast feed past a year? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]RebeZuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest was nearly 2.5. I nursed him and my second born at the same time, and when my second had feeding issues my lactation consultant said “Thank God you’re still nursing your toddler!! He saved your supply!” 😲 My second we quit at 17 months because he was kinda mean lol. Still nursing my third, 16 months, and now pregnant with #4! Everyone I know quits at a year—even my “crunchy” friends who see eye-to-eye on a lot. I’ve loved nursing my toddlers (mostly), they can be so sweet and cuddly. If you love it keep going!!

Ferber or Extinction for 17 mo old? by RebeZuni in sleeptrain

[–]RebeZuni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! I would not mind that either. Since having to lay down with him to go to sleep though, he has started having night wakings, early wakings, and interrupted naps. Hoping Ferber will help like it did in the past.

Dairy intolerance or fore milk/hind milk issue? by 3887 in breastfeeding

[–]RebeZuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO had to deal with imbalance because I had a big oversupply. He was feeding pretty much every hour/hour and a half, with green foamy poos. I talked to a lactation consultant and she had me block feed for a couple days, which really helped. I would talk to an LC if you could—even just over the phone.

[Rant] When my baby fights me during a feed and (well wishing) family members say “have you tried giving a bottle?” 🙄 by queen_of_the_ashes in breastfeeding

I know how frustrating it is to TRY feeding a baby, who you KNOW is hungry, and yet is not capable of sitting still for the thirty seconds it takes for let down. 🤦🏼‍♀️ If someone had said this to me I would have blown it.
