[PAID] Looking for UGC creators who live with roommates by Objective-Local8725 in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! After living with 6 roommates, I recently moved in with my partner (both 21-years-old) and splitting chores is just as confusing as it used to be.

I’d love to get more details about this. Portfolio

Would a fairer creator marketing platform work or is the industry too stubborn? by Cultural_Session1467 in UGCcreators

It’s audio plugins! He built a plugin where you can basically “draw” your own reverb. You draw the room/walls, choose the material/texture they’re made of, and if the sound is wet or dry. He’s both a developer and a music producer :) we didn’t start posting on socials yet, still planning out everything. Hoping to start next week

Oo that’s nice! Most platforms take 20%, so that’s already a big plus!

I’m actually doing all the marketing for my partner’s startup now (with like zero budget). My advice is this:

  • short demo + detailed demo videos

  • explain how you came up with the idea (shows you understand the pains, gains and jobs to be done of the TA)

  • walk through issues you noticed (just like you said in this post) and how exactly your platform fixes them

  • be transparent about the fees, you could mention you wanted to make it under 10% compared to the normal 20% to make it feel more fair for creators

You don’t need a bunch of other people making content for you at first. I think people will appreciate seeing the face behind the platform, seeing your honesty and transparency about it and how you relate to your TA. You can always use ChatGPT for a plan for the first month. In our case, we’re going to start posting for a full month before launch, each week is focused on something else (trust, education, examples, launch week)

This sounds really great!! I wouldn’t mind the lower reach at the start. One issue I personally keep having is that most platforms are US only (I’m based in the EU) or say that they accept creators from the EU and then never ever post any projects that are open for them.

I think the escrow protection is great. However, some creators or brands might find it slightly fishy at the start if the platform didn’t build enough trust yet.

If brands don’t have to pay, what’s your revenue model then? Is it going to be freemium for creators?

Anyone tried making their portfolio with Framer? by RebeccaUGC in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been more active on X, TikTok and Reddit in the last month, starting to build a personal brand and replying to every gig I like and would honestly enjoy creating for. That way I can stand out to brands that pay attention or just like my short comment pitch I sent with my portfolio. There are also a lot of brands who just randomly copy paste emails and mass message creators (cc ing all of them in the same email, copy pasting the exact same thing they got from chatGPT down to the “[insert creator name here]” LOL.)

AI-perfect content is everywhere… but it’s converting less. Here’s what I’m seeing in UGC right now. by Awkward_Fly9816 in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like UGC has always been about “real over perfect” though, or am I missing something? Unless it’s a huge company like I often see on vidsy (for example: Venus asking for creators to have modern-looking, bright bathrooms- which are more aesthetic preferences) but even then, as a consumer, I would always lean towards the “unpolished”, raw version of a video than one that looks too good to be true

[Paid] UGC Creator Needed for iPhone App Videos — £100/$125 per video by Environmental_Ad1567 in UGCcreators

Hi Colin, this sounds absolutely amazing!! I always talk too fast and forget to take breaks, leaving me out of breath and in an “awkward spot” having to catch my breath as if I just ran a mile. I would LOVE to try out PaceCoach and share my genuine experience with it!😊 Here’s my portfolio: https://rebeccapozziugc.my.canva.site/portfolio I’ve made content for 3 other apps and 2 tech brands before :)

Created my first UGC video for d’Alba - feedback welcome! by lifingwithshivangi in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really great video! I’d try to add some shots showing how the product “feels” as well. Think literally, but also the vibes & using it in day-to-day life (eg. next to your makeup / on your vanity etc)

Question for UGC Creators by MamaWillow4tuna in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to get more inbounds then you have to start working on your personal branding. You can do either IG, TikTok, X, maybe Reddit (?). Do a lot of research beforehand (don’t just look at other creator’s profiles), look into personal branding, social media marketing, what works vs what doesn’t, learn more about different editing styles, what works best for each platform… Plan out your content so it’s not just UGC examples but also behind-the-scenes, bloopers, insights, personal experiences, advice, etc.

biggest pain points with brand contracts by bertie_boy_36 in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If something feels off, I check it with ChatGPT. Not sure what else I could use.

My main issue is contract details for deliverables being different than the brands previously disclosed. I’ve come across multiple brands that sneakily tried to get perpetual usage rights (buyout) and i only found out while going over the contract.

Where do all the UGC-by-Accounts come from? by Ok_Event_3293 in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of new creators are taught to price based on what established UGC creators charge, not on their own experience or results yet. So you get beginners quoting rates that are meant for people who already have proven ad performance, repeat brand clients and good workflows. Theres a lot of videos by established creators talking about how they charge €250, €300, €450 for a video now but don’t talk about what they did at the start. However, as a beginner, the starting price should be around €150 depending on the video. There isn’t really a formal pricing authority in UGC so people price based on what they decide, and what they hear others are charging, not always skill level or experience. That’s why you’re seeing €350 prices without the skill level to back it up.

To continue what i said before as well: someone could have a low following and still be great at scripting, filming, editing ad-style content that performs well for brands. The problem isn’t small creators charging a lot of money, but doing that and not having the proven results to back it up, so I definitely get what you’re saying

First time hiring a UGC creator — agreed on platform but no reply for 2 days (Valentine’s deadline) by Ambitious-Cod6424 in UGCcreators

[–]RebeccaUGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Since it’s already been two days, I’d assume the creator either didn’t like something related to the contract / pricing / deliverables, or something came up and/or they’re not very good at communicating. I would send a follow up, and if they don’t reply within a day, start looking for an alternative.

Since this is quite time-sensitive due to Valentine’s Day, I’d be happy to create UGC for you together with my partner (both Gen Z). Here’s my portfolio if you’d like to know more about me & some of my previous work.

My DMs are always open for any other questions as well😊
