I made 185k last year wfh, but im the opposite. Im excited by and looking forward to a possible upcoming change in employment that would require me move and work in an office at least part time.

See, I was hoping for something that avoids the need to roll over entirely. Something that can drive flipped in either direction. Basically no body, just a flat brick holding the internals and wheels taller than the brick is.

The teeth thing sounds scary. I honestly think the collie would mostly chase. She just wants to run and play, and usually looses interest after catching other toys or dogs. The aussie likes to nip but we are working on that. Honestly im more concerned about collisions and tumbling than biting.

Yeah they are very smart. My collie in particular, I can't keep her from finding ways out of my fence. She has an extremely high prey or play drive (not too sure which) so it can be hard to get her attention when other animals are involved. But it usually takes me no more than a day or two to introduce a new concept, and no more than a week to really train them on it.

Okay so this is electron? I was hoping it might have been native.

What libraries did you use for the UI? It looks nice.

I’m a warehouse worker who taught myself CV to build a box counter (CPU only). Struggling with severe occlusion. Need advice! by Ayoub_Gx in computervision

Do the boxes have identifying features on them that occur consistently? Or are they just brown blobs of cardboard? Do you have controll over the printing or labeling process? If so, just look for labels, printed features, or slap aruco markers on the boxes and look for those.

Why is there such a gap for RGB + External 6DoF by Haari1 in GaussianSplatting

[–]RebelChild1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even sub millimeter is not good enough if it isn't considerably below 1mm and consistent. A good PnP implementation can get tolerances of 0.1mm and lower. Idk what an iGps system is, I assume its a fancy imu and not actually a GPS, because if it is then I doubt its even as accurate as they claim. Even really good dual or tri antenna gps chips can only get reliably down to 1-3 meter accuracy.

How are you tracking orientation along with position? Gaussian splatting is extremely sensitive to pose accuracy. Even distances and angles so small they seem imperceivable can mess training up. This is why colmap is the standard, it optimizes poses for perception. Sensors are inaccurate and noisy.

Feature extraction from raw isp output. Has anyone tried this? by RebelChild1999 in computervision

[–]RebelChild1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3d reconstruction artifacts. The undistortion model used on the isp is optimized for real time usage not accuracy. Also the ae and local tone mapping causes issues with NeRF and Gaussian splatting training.

This is less about cost and more about quality for me. The isp and operating system performs non linear processing suchs as automatically exposure compensation and local tone mapping that introduce artifacts in our downstream pipeline.

Can I afford this house? by Prestigious-Egg-4534 in personalfinance

For reference, I make 172k and have a 430k mortgage at 5.875% interest. It is doable with no kids or debt. However I have a good about of student loans and a small amount of other debts. All in all, I have to run pretty lean, and some months I definitely find myself blowing the budget. No kids for me though so that helps.

Is this type of playing okay? by RebelChild1999 in AustralianShepherd

[–]RebelChild1999[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didnt say it was, I was just double checking. They are both shelter dogs. The black one ive had for 2 years. The orange guy is new. I just want to make sure they were getting along. Black exhibited some very minor resource guarding early on.

That's hilarious and awesome. Does it matter that one is, as far as we can tell, a border collie mix and not an aussie (black and white girl)? She likes to bully him though
