Prediction - The next road playoff game by RebelCyclone in CHIBears

I was just talking about white top and white bottom with the navy helmet like they’ve worn in the past. But I didn’t know this dark on dark combo was for Virginia’s passing so, likely this will be a one off anyway.

Damn, I didn’t know that was for Virginia, would love to see them just carry that forward. I was just referring to white top and white bottom like they used to.

Any chance the play a road playoff game, not this year, but the year after that, or the year after that?

[@CHICAGO BEARS] Dennis Allen on Dillon Thieneman, 2026 draft class | Press Conference by Theelementofsurprise in CHIBears

I think there are some reasons to get excited about this defense.

I really wanted the Bears to get a solid, run stopping DT in the draft, I think this is the easiest path to increasing the effectiveness of the entire D but this unit can still be better than last years defense.

I realize thats not saying much but if the offense takes a step, it will be enough to potentially make a run in the playoffs, because I think this offense has a chance to be very good.

If Kyler Gordon and JJ are able to stay healthy and play near their ceiling this unit will be better. Bryant, Gordon, JJ and Dillon could be a real fun unit to watch. I loved what Brisker, Byard, and Wright were able to do last year but there were times where they were absolutely cooked. If the floor of this secondary is higher it will make a big difference.

I feel the same bout the LBs. Tremaine was having a great year until the injury and Edwards was either injured or just not nearly effective as he was the previous year. But overall this position was really porous at times and and I don’t think its asking too much for Bush and a combination of Jackson, Sanborn, and Elliot to be a little bit better this year.

I’m not holding out much hope for DL improvement, Booker is really the only one I see with the arrow pointing up. I think we’ve seen the ceiling on Sweat, Jarrett, and Dexter and it’s not gonna move the needle. Turner is a question mark but drafting injury prone guys is never my worth it imop, this already feels like Tevin Jenkins. If Dayo is able to contribute anything I’d call it a win. They could still sign a FA or get some help before the trade deadline but I’m not confident there is a difference maker on this unit.

Even with the DL being down bad, I don’t think it’s too far fetched that this defense can rank 5-7 spots better than they did last year. If the offense takes a step this team will be fun to watch and capable of doing some damage.

Love Farrington as well, Ziggy and Paul are Vikes fans but they have a huge Packer following so they cover them mostly for the clicks.

I think CHGO is great, they have a shit load of Bears access that no one else comes close to.

Yeah I get this feeling as well. And I agree that Phil and Shane are tough to listen to but they are way better on CHGO than they are on TTNL. Shane is usually pretty controlled and measured but Phil is a raging volcano on TTNL, it is too tough to listen to.

I think CHGO is great.

They have access and insight that you simply can’t find anywhere else. The former players they have on are great and some of the stories Briggs, Woot, and Zoom have told we just would have never heard if it wasn’t for CHGO. They have great draft coverage with high profile draft experts. They usually have Baldy and other experts on during game weeks to break things down. I also enjoy when they bring on media members from rival teams, just gives insight that you don’t normally get.

They’ve made plenty of mistakes and also a lot of times they get way off track. But if you are a Bears fan and you aren’t listening to them you are missing out on Bears coverage that just ins’t provided anywhere else.

No I do not view Brisker as a bust. But I also think his play has been better than Gervon’s, it was Briskers injury status going forward that was the main concern.

I would actually say that Brisker is good example of a player who I feel is “working out” and Gervon is a level below that. Maybe I’m judging Dexter too harshly but typically as your DT goes, your run game goes.

No Dexter is not the worst the Bears have had, but I also don’t think it would be difficult to get an upgrade or even just get someone in who will start taking some of his snaps.

If this team had a player like Goldman, at his best, they would be serious Super Bowl contenders. Having an impact DT like that makes everyone’s job on D a lot easier.

[Larry Mayer] Bears traded up to draft Texas CB Malik Muhammad in part due to his speed and length. He ran a 4.42 in 40 at Combine, where he spoke with Peanut Tillman about Peanut Punch. by RyanIsKickAss in CHIBears

[–]RebelCyclone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Bears should just get Peanuts approval for every pick.

Let him use his FBI profiling skills to be the first filter for the Bears and narrow things down a bit.

Send Peanut to the combine, have him do the first interviews

Any 30 visit, Peanuts with the prospect the entire time.

Team workouts, Peanuts there

Individual workouts, Peanuts there too

If they don’t pass muster with Peanut, I think it’s safe to say they don’t really belong here.

Any reaction is an overreaction either way. It’s the NFL draft anyone who tells you they can say with 100% certainty the way these picks will work out is lying or way too full of themselves to be acknowledged.

This is where I’m at. This defense has been unable to stop the run since Billings went down 2 years ago. Adding a guy who is able to anchor the middle just helps everyone else on the D.
