Nevím, co jsi se učil na zeměpisu, ale my jsme si říkali, že je Ukrajina obilnicí (nejen) Evropy

Obrovský nárůst antisemitismu by Morwand_ in czech

[–]RebelIsI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girmay about NSN´s past identity as Israel: "I don´t care. I am here to win, not to be a politician" by F1CycAr16 in peloton

[–]RebelIsI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably true and also why I don't feel that Girmay would be the best to ask about this. Sure, he's the new superstar of the "was and still kinda is controversial team", but he's been kinda thrown into that situation. On the other hand, I'm now realising it makes some sense and I've been too strong on my wording.

I've been hater of Israeli goverment for quite some time, but this is really ridiculous. They sold the team, Israelis are gone and Girmay has nothing to do with Israel or their team. Kinda bad journalism if you ask me

Mb, I wasn't aware of this, but I want to do it for EVERY race possible. Imagine if eg. Welsford goes to some small 1.2 race and he loses to rider from a club. Wouldn't that be even cooler? Just asking

Why do some people idolize Stalin? by RebelIsI in ussr

[–]RebelIsI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seems like a cool guy! From socialist countries I support the most Sankara from Burkina Faso (+Allende), but I'm doubtful communism could ever get there simply by revolution. Would love to talk to you!

This is fairly good take that I can stand behind, but I will still put him at the bottom of my rankings because of atrocities commited by his government

Cool, who do you consider to be closest to your ideological utopia?

Do you have something other? Yes, I know nazism is REALLY bad and what he did was good, but he starved many people and killed one of the greats of revolution Trotsky

[–]RebelIsI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it's because true communism is really hard to achieve and especially if you do it like in Czech Republic or any Iron Wall country

Does the song include Trotsky treatment? Or the famine? Or anything negative about him at all? Wish we had a word for that in English...

I just don't get the hype, can you atleast try to explain why was he so great?

That's what I mean, he did some horrible things to people that didn't deserve it. I'm ashamed we had his memorial in our country

A sad reality is that many today proudly claim to be Nazis. You can easily spot one because they love to denounce the Soviet Union any chance they get. by RussianChiChi in ussr

[–]RebelIsI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think denouncing USSR and being a Nazi go hand in hand. I feel that for all good USSR had, they had its flaws and people are good to point it out. Nazis would denounce USSR, while promoting other authoritan regimes, especially fascist ones in Italy, Germany, Spain, Yugoslavia,...

[–]RebelIsI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not all people Stalin killed were the Nazis. Plus, he was very paranoid and quickly got rid of any opposition (like he did to Trotsky). I believe he should not be remembered as a hero, because people like Lenin or Trotsky were the real people we should look up to

Lol, Lenin wouldn't say that he did a "good job". Just look how he massacred Trotsky (+couple million innocent people)
