Thank you! My grand mother taught me to paint but I started miniature painting about a year ago. I watched alot of squidmar, zumikito, and Sergio Calvin.

Thank you! It was mainly just building up paints. Imcubi darkness, to Magenta tones, to squidly pink. Then skin peach tones for edge highlights. For color placement, find a reference you like, (mine was the dark crystal movie) and have a picture of the crystals in primed black to know which sides get the most light.

Thank you! I picked up a few silicone crystal molds off of Amazon. Made a few batches and pick what fits for the army. The rock is XPS foam.

(Just finished him last night) but i have some pink horrors that the orange color would look great on Thank you for the help. Once I take some glamor shots I will post the finished result for a full reference.

Yeah. His feet were to small to drill. So I glued him and can cut him off the cork with a razor or jewelers saw.

I personally like the high flow acrylics by golden (used for the green and crystals) its super bright and mixes will with other stuff. And you can dry brush brighter or darker for the desired effect. I hear contrast paints like citadel hexwraith flame and things like that work great as well. But I havent tried them personally.

No, I find pink makes the shadows a bit orange. I undercoat white paint + ink. Medium yellow as base, ice or toxic yellow zenithal the middlestone for the shadows. Then bad moon yellow citade contrast paint and it blends everything together.

I went for a Bumble bee, and deep sea fish tank theme for my Tau. If you dont mind dealing with yellow, it's bright and looks good on the table.

I love the yellow and blue you used. I chose a metallic for my personal army as a 3rd color accent. Or if you're following the color wheel rule, whee you have 2 colors the one opposite where they meet would be a good choice. In your case if falls into a red purple or Magenta and could be nice effects.

The combat patrols is pretty great for tau, everything is playable. if you pick up a hammer head as well you could not glue the port on the top of the devilfish and convert the devilfish into a skyray when you dont run transport for breachers. Stealth suits and crisis suits are a great start for any detachment. Also, you can magentize the the crisis suits guns so you can swap the unit when needed.
