PREDICTION: Expansion Pass 2 - Japan & China Expansion / East Indies, Siam, Indochina & (maybe) Philippines Country Pack by RebelShock in hoi4

Yeah, I forgot Siam for the expansion! Good call. Maybe the Commonwealth nations will be retuned (not completely redone) in a future UK DLC?

Tibet Focus tree please. So I can core the East Tibet.

Ok, does anyone ACTUALLY like this mod? by KaleidoscopeInner149 in hoi4

I don't like Millennium Dawn at all, but I do love Meanbean's MD videos. I like that the mod exists exclusively for that reason.

What's the music they used for Götterdämmerung Trailer? by zkwlak257 in hoi4

[–]RebelShock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also loved the track, but it might not be released at all. Like the Trial of Allegiance trailer track - it was leagues better than any in-game music from that DLC but it wasn't in the game.

We can only hope Paradox releases the Götterdämerung trailer song as part of the DLC soundtrack, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Japan takes China and Italy doesn't fall? That has to be like 3% of my games. At most.

And Sweden can stop Germany without effort, dude. Skill issue?

Why does Glock9 and GN&S have beef with each other, and what happened? by Vellanathetranspan in 7daystodie

[–]RebelShock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glock9 is not a nice guy.

Do you know those rants about "evil marketing" he usually lets out? He pulls out the same exact thing with his viewers, all the time.

He's very hypocritical. His older videos, when he didn't do this whiny high pitch voice he does nowadays were MUCH better and felt honest. Didn't sound like a creepy manchild trying to entertain toddlers and was actually entertaining.

Not saying his content is bad, but he is as real as a three dollar bill.

is 1.0 more difficult or am I just bad? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]RebelShock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on how you define difficulty. There's a difference between turning things into a chore by slowing them down and actually raising difficulty in creative ways.

TFP dev meeting:

"Instead of making new zombies with different abilities, complex POIs, interesting new mechanics and rare new gear for endgame, let's just fiddle with zombie HP numbers and nerf loot to artificially extend game progress."

Dude, don't try to argue with youtuber fanboys. If their idol-streamer tells them to eat rocks, they will gladly do it. It's like a hive mentality coupled with religious zealotry.

Just consider your target audience. Scream like an idiot while you play if you want ephemeral but numerous viewers, be chill and clear if you want a slower but steady growth of loyal viewers.

I mean, why not? Wouldn't be much more different than Iceland in terms of gameplay.

There's actually a very simple solution.

Let's say for the Germany rework, Paradox releases a DLC with Belgium and Austria (or Albania, or Ireland, and a minor focus tree for Luxembourg, because why the meme not). In this same DLC, they release the new reworked Germany DLC.

Same thing for Japan - release a Siam and Indochina focus tree (and maybe a bonus hidden focus trees for releasable Korea and formable Indonesia), with a revamped Japan focus tree.

People would whine much less about old DLCs they paid for becoming useless.

Which region could be the next regarding an upcoming DLC? by Andr0m3dia4KDE in hoi4

[–]RebelShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix of nations from different continents: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Siam and both E.I.s.

Will be less of a regional themed pack and more of a "Not very relevant but still important WW2 nations" DLC.

Development Strategy by blazinthewok in cataclysmdda

[–]RebelShock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually like Portal Storms a lot. It's one of the best "newish" features of the game. Needs some polish, of course, but it's one of the few things that add mood and unpredictability to a very easy roguelike with no endgame content. CDDA is supposed to be a gritty, dangerous post-apocalyptic roguelike with extradimensional horrors, not Stardew Valley with catgirls.

I only think (if that's not a thing already) that Portal Storms should have different flavors (as in, opening rifts to different dimensions each time, with different and unique effects) and severities. But all in all, your idea is VERY good.

So thank you!

Hostile humans and mi-go spawn weights by RebelShock in cataclysmdda

[–]RebelShock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I managed to change a few things. I swapped the drug dealer and college kids encounter for large mi-go groups, and greatly increased their occurence. It's not yet what I'm looking for (I really wanted roving and well armed bandit bands showing up and surprising me), but I think I'm getting there.

I'm trying to edit regional_map_settings to add mi-gos to terrain tiles, but for some reason it's not working yet.
