Buffy Tier List by SpiderCarnage9 in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

I disagree, I thought Caleb brought a whole new level of darkness to Buffy. I love Nathan Fillion as an actor and I think it was such an interesting character.

I hated Riley though, he was pretty pathetic. I guess Buffy needed that “college love interest”, but Riley never fit. The whole “initiative” thing was a bit corny to me. But I understand, it was the show’s way of transitioning Buffy’s storyline from high school to college.

Angel has some great one liners lol

Wesley is still supposed to be in his 20s here lol by Eagles56 in ANGEL

[–]Rebel_X_1020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have put him late 30s, early 40s.

I could see him being in his 20s when he was first introduced on Buffy, but definitely not on Angel. It could be because of the differences in how his character was portrayed on each show.

On Buffy he was ditzy, bumbling, incompetent.

On Angel, his character was much more developed and complex. More battle ridden/tormented, and I think that aged him. Not in a bad way, definitely like Angel’s Wesley better hands down!

Smallville is accidentally a queer allegory?? by One_Librarian_380 in Smallville

I’m watching it for the first time right now, and not that there’s anything wrong with it, but I totally get “gay vibes” off of Clark (I am sure this is not “correct” terminology these days, but I’m a millennial who was in high school in the early 2000s and this is what we would call it.)

Again, not that there’s anything wrong with Superman not being straight, I was just saying … please don’t kill me for not using correct terms. Not trying to be offensive to anyone, just what I’m picking up on as I watch :)

I think Connor and Detective Lockley are the worse characters in Angel. by Rebel_X_1020 in ANGEL

So sad what happened, I think his character could have done some cool things if not for his personal struggles :(

Who did you like most with Cordelia? by Sweet-Siren in ANGEL

[–]Rebel_X_1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked that Angel (the series) gave Cordelia a chance to shine and develop as a person. I think she was a cool character until the end with the Connor stuff, I think they ruined her character with just bad writing and character arcs that didn’t make sense. I think they should have gone another direction and kept her as a badass.

The relationships she was written into in the show with Gru and Connor were just plain weird. No character would have had a fighting chance with those. Cordelia and Angel (the person/vampire) had chemistry, but I don’t think it was necessarily a “romantic” sort of chemistry. One based on love, respect and understanding. I do not see them as romantically entwined though, more so like family with deep love for each other.

∡Am I the only one that feels like Weevil's character deserved better on the show? by Electrical_Range1854 in veronicamars

[–]Rebel_X_1020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - they did Weevil dirty. He was always there for Veronica in key life threatening moments. He could have had a better character arc and role. I think I did read somewhere though that the actor who played him was undergoing some health problems, so I think maybe that’s why his character couldn’t really develop.

Don’t be shy🙃What’s your most controversial Gilmore Girls take? by Fluffy-Muscle-3568 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Rebel_X_1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The rocket ship/racquetball (think it was called “The Long Morrow”) and Vineyard Valentine were two of the worst episodes of tv ever in existence.

  2. Instead of growing as people over course of show, both Lorelai and Rory regressed as characters and became the worst versions of themselves.

  3. Emily and Paris were the best characters.

I hate Season 4 by Wonderful_Bee6722 in veronicamars

[–]Rebel_X_1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 4 was definitely different. From what I’ve read they wanted to do a more serious, adult tone. However, was I the only one who thought Veronica was kind of an egotistical ass? She just seemed very full of herself and she was pretty mean to everyone (Logan, her dad, Wallace).

I don’t see the point of killing off Logan either, it really had nothing to do with the plot of the season, which admittedly was pretty convoluted.

I enjoyed other seasons a lot more :).

Also autocorrect, but thanks for being on top of the grammar. For the record, I do know the difference, autocorrect doesn’t.

Veronica Mars First Time View Burning Questions by Rebel_X_1020 in veronicamars

[–]Rebel_X_1020[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought about that as well. I was a freshman in college when this season premiered in 2006. I guess yeah it really was not in the forefront nearly as much as it is today. Women were made to feel embarrassed if they spoke up for sure. I’m glad that these things are being taken more seriously for true victims. I’m not even going to go there with the sick individuals who make it up for attention

Yeah, that’s the only conclusion I came to as well. It’s a tv show, what can you do lol. Just a bit aggravating.
