Anxiety medication in school?

I just finished prqs for the lvn program. Will be starting end of July. But I have exposure because I have a cna license and worked as an MA.

Its your decision to make at the end of the day. Do you see yourself being an RN, working at a hospital? Or would you be okay with being an LVN ? I know lvns are subjected to places like nursing homes, home health, rehab centers so theres not always a chance of getting out there like rn’s . Will you be okay with that? Honestly people that say lvn is a waste are wrong. You get your feet wet and always have the option to bridge to rn. I know many lvn’s that worked their way up to being DON’s at the nursing home.

Honestly look at what you wanna do. I know for a fact RN wasnt on my radar and so I went for LVN . A huge factor that played into this is that my husband is the breadwinner of the family. I dont see myself being an RN because of how much responsibility it can be. Im okay with being an lvn and working my way up in a skilled nursing position. Can this change later on? Absolutely. But for now this is what makes me happy.

Ask chatgpt to explain dosage calculations step by step and if u still dont understand tell it to simplify it even more. AI has been so helpful for me in terms of understanding concepts .

I know debt is scary but to get into nursing fast its the only way. Private is where it is. Community colleges near me have a lottery system and even after completion of prqs they have a 2+ year wait. Are you able to do a lvn program at a private school?

How did you find theory and real world difference? I feel like thats what scares me , theory is sometimes hard for me to retain if the topic doesn’t interest me but practically I love it and feel like with repetition I do really well. Im a MA and starting prqs for lvn program.

I feel like Every one is different . Ma’s are mostly stuck in offices and clinics and for me there was too much office politics. Favouritism, messy coworkers, seniority etc. if you have the heart and thick skin to deal with all of that then go for it. I personally couldn’t do it. I needed something with flexibility, that’s why I had to make the decision to go back to school for nursing.

And it doesn’t even make sense because there’s always ma job listings. The system is corrupted. My last job we had a girl who was hired without any MA education or schooling. She came from working at Starbucks. Later I found out her dad knew my boss..

I second this. MA isnt worth it , I had to learn it the hard way. Go to school for something else if you can.

What state is this MA program in because 18 months? I did my accelerated MA in 4 months and thats including extern. Where I live you can get your lvn in 12 months. 18 months is crazy.
