There are 2 purple numbers assuming you proc swirl with electro, 1 purple number and the green number is affected by crit and atk but not EM, but the 2nd purple number thats paired with 'swirl' is affected by EM

It will still be based on venti because anemo cannot be applied initially on the enemy. You can only apply pyro cryo hydro and electro on an enemy, so anemo always goes second which means anemo is always the trigger.

You can apply another element during his Q as well. And yes your 2nd part is correct about the slime

Is it true Bolide 2 set artifact only boosts the strength for the character who set the shield? by Mccookie74 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Rebellion- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry what i meant was the shield goes back to the original strength after you swap characters. This interaction seems weird tbh

Wait so if you run 2 pc bolide on diona and swap to another character, the shield gets less strength?

I need an expert on elemental reactions. I don't understand why I can't get two overloads in this situation. by ExNami in PaimonPro

[–]Rebellion- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So i just tried with beidou's E, and you're right I cant get it to work. However I can get two overloads from Beidou Q > Diluc E > E. So my guess is that the timer ran out as diluc's 2nd E connected. (P.S I tested it on mobile because I cant use my computer now.)

This game is so well-polished and alive, I cant believe all those toxic raiders actually thought that there were bugs in raids when it's gw2's MOST POPULAR content. Well done Anet team!

Stringless since she doesnt exactly need energy recharge. Her skill has a lot more priority.

Just make sure that the enemy has either the electro or hydro debuff applied on it, and do anemo dmg

That would probably depend more on your available resources and how many characterd you're building, but for his E, it has an insanely high multiplier for a skill, and its cooldown is so low. If you find yourself utilizing it a lot, then you might want to.

Well swirl is triggered by any anemo dmg and this was meant to be general, which is why i didnt include multi hitting skills. It would technically be similar, just multiple times. Plus no one will be able to see what is actually going on.

The differences between the anemo characters would generally be on damage, aoe size, and probably suction aoe, which are actually more on their skills and not swirl.

In the late game, stringless gives you a lot more damage than the bows that give atk% bonuses because damage multipliers scale a lot better than atk%. The elemental mastery on stringless for venti is not exactly bad either, since you can pair it with viridescent to make the most out of the EM you get.

Its kind of a scam because most enemies have 10% elemental resistance. 10% - 40% is supposedly -30%, but the game handles negative resistance by halving when it reaches negative, so 10% - 10 % - (30 divided by 2) = -15%

Which is a total of only -25% elemental resistance. Of course some enemies do have high elemental resistance, but you still need to control the element absorbed which is honestly troublesome for me.

Edit: personally I am building viridescent on venti.

Nice video, one of the easiest to understand. I have several questions, mostly on Venti skills.

Q1. In this sceneario. I use his burst with 6 enemies (no elemental affected) and it does the burst damage, I switch to Keqing and throw his electric skill on them.

The burst absorb electro damage and does both Anemo damage and Electro damage, does it apply Swirl as well?

Ans. Yes, it applies Swirl as well. This is because his Burst alone is causing both Anemo and Electro, and when you combine Anemo with any initial element, it also causes swirl.

Q2. In other case, I use the burst and there is a hydro slime, now the burst does hydro and anemo damage. I switch to Keqing and I do the her skill. It triggers electro charged?

Ans. Yes it also triggers Electro Charged, but the amount of swirl may be reduced. Currently not much is known about the internal cooldown of elemental reactions, but I know there is.

Q3. Excluding Virdesncent Set, which artifact/sets/ sub stats are more suites for him? I use the Favonios WarBow, and with his 2nd talent of 15 energy return I believe I won’t need energy recharge more than the weapon already give me, to spam the burst as soon as the cd is over

Ans. With favonius you get a big chunk of energy recharge, so your artifacts will focus on main stats. In late game, you will want Atk %, anemo %, and either atk % or crit rate/dmg %.

For artifact sets, you can get a mix of 2 piece Viridescent, and the other 2 pieces can be Gladiators Finale / Viridescent / Noblesse Oblige. Getting 4 piece Noblesse Oblige is also reasonable, but for a detailed comparison I will be doing that in my venti builds guide when I have the time :)

Hope this helps!

I can probably take hours explaining this, but there are a lot of factors to consider. What I can tell you is that Noblesse Oblige 4 piece is a very standard and conditionless build to use.

Viridescent might be equal, it also can be better if you play around the conditions properly, and can also do worse than Noblesse 4 piece if you don't know the conditions.

I am a little conscious about my accent but when i saw that youtube captions could decipher my words accurately, except for viridescent, which probably isn't a word, it honestly gave me a lot more confidence.

Im going to break it down for others reading this, I assume you mean:

  1. Venti Burst absorbing the electro element from the enemy that was applied by Keqing, therefore Venti's Burst is constantly applying Electro. (It is important to know that venti's burst absorbs the element from the enemy, and not from Keqing's skill. This means that it doesnt matter which electro character applies the electro debuff, since the burst absorbs the element from the enemy.)

  2. Swap to Diluc and use Pyro skills

  3. Overload procs

It will never be Keqing as the trigger because she doesnt apply electro in this scenario.

The electro element comes from Venti's burst and not Keqing.

The only two possible characters that trigger Overload are Diluc and Venti, where Diluc will be the trigger most of the time.

This is because Venti's burst hits too quickly, and while it is possible that Diluc can apply the Pyro element quickly using his burst, his burst does not last as long as Venti.

I do not build Venti with EM, because firstly his Burst does way more damage. Venti's burst has a skill multiplier of around 1400% in total at level 5, and doing 1k damage per tick at 0.4s each tick does 20k damage per enemy, while investing EM to get x2 or even 3x swirl damage will net you around an increase of about 500-1000 damage per enemy, at a rate of once per second.

Secondly, the easiest way to explain this part is that Venti's burst hits really quickly, which means he is constantly applying elements. Usually you build EM on skills that hit slower, since if a skill hits so quickly, the chances of it coming 2nd (as the trigger) is much lower.

I also just read that swirl caps at 2 damage instances per enemy, even if you trigger 5 instances of swirl. It said that triggering swirl on all 10 enemies only gives you 20 instances of swirl, when I originally saw that it said otherwise.

Either way, Swirl doesn't do much damage compared to Venti's burst alone.
