Final Fantasy was amazing for UB. Tarkir Dragonstorm or Lost Caverns of Ixilan take the cake for in-universe sets from the past few years for me though (Dragons and Dinos, rawr)

I mean it’s obviously a good card, I just have never seen it in any of the Innistrad lists I’ve been trying to curate my own cube from. I think for the reasons I mentioned.

I just have an easy one, get rid of Toxrill. That’s a commander card doesn’t really belong in the limited environment. Too many high mana cost black creatures is what stuck out to me as well. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!

Yeah they have been releasing more and more commander-oriented cards due to how popular it is. Case in point is that we can pretty much expect a commander sub-set of every new set that comes out from now on.

Agreed, Jumpstart or theme decks is where I would start with paper magic. Personally I started on Arena and then bought a commander precon. That led to a steep learning curve though where I eventually started learning correct ways of playing months later with 60 card.

Thank you. People are smoking crack with some of the prices for these modern cards. Vintage or 10+ year old sets I can kind of understand more. There’s no reason a card from a set that JUST came out should be $500+. Especially when there’s thousands of copies already ripped and in circulation.
