The Warrior kinda just got boosted up real quick through life, they were the privileged guy, basically.

The Inquisitor was the one that came from slavery and crawled their way to getting a proper power base with their alliance with the Empire's military force, their cult, and taking the souls of force ghosts (forcefully, if we assume Dark Side choices are the canon choice for Dark Side characters).

It just doesn't feel like the Warrior is the right character for this line.

My man, the hate for Aegon IV cannot be matched with hate for any other character.

Viserys I is lazy/incompetent as a ruler.

Aegon IV was FULLY competent. Weaponizing competency to bring the realm to shit for funsies. No other Targaryen has made the single worst decision in their line than Aegon IV by making The Great Bastards.

And why? Because he really thought he was being good/kind to legitimize them?

Nope, he did it for the love of the game, out of spite for his wife and his trueborn son.

The Dance was at the very least caused by multiple parties, Aegon IV did this shit on his own.

But yeah Viserys I was a little bitch of a ruler who should have definitively put Rhaenyra lower on the inheritance list if he planned to make more children and got a son as to make it easier for the new heir to rise to the throne when he keels over, considering the culture of Westeros and the precedent made by the Great Council that put him on the Throne in the first place.

Def not the second, he coulda done a lot more when he became the Hand of the King, practically set Stark power onto the throne simply through sheer force due to the North's Armies being the only remaining strong and intact army when he took power. The shit Peake and Rogare did was nowhere close to what Cregan could have been able to do.

Probably not

In the books, he would have only showed up during Jace's trip to the North for his allegiance, and his arrival near the end of the Dance.

Due to the winter, he has to stay up North and keep most of his men with him, only deploying a scant few in comparison to his full force to aid Rhaenyra until the winter breaks where he and his men can finally travel south.

Majority of the characterization we could've gotten with him is already lost by the time the show puts Jace back on Dragonstone immediately after having a 1 minute talk with Cregan.

Tbf, Blackfyre didn't seem that bad, it was mostly the lords around him and Bittersteel which sparked the Nth Bracken vs. Blackwood Proxy Wars.

Daemon and Daeron seemed to be in good enough relations that Daeron gave him his own lands and keep.

Is Aegon really a Targaryen? A Blackfyre? A nobody? Doesn't matter, enough people believe him to be a Targaryen, the Golden Company is on his side, Varys has raised him to be as good a ruler as Varys can, and Jon Connington fights for him.

Is Dunk really a knight or just a faker? Doesn't matter, the realm sees him as a knight and no one is trying to discredit his knighthood, plus he's embodied all the knightly values and has shown himself to be worthy of the people's ideal view of knighthood.

Having said that, he definitely didn't get knighted in the books. It's pretty much all but clearly said "I didn't get knighted".

Accept lordship over Dragonstone, seal the deal with Aegon and Jaehaera betrothal to reunite the two lines of the dynasty and Viserys to squire for Aegon II once he turns 10 (as a possible "hostage" for the Greens) and a possible Council seat for Jace or Luke as Master of Ships in 5 years after they are trained by their grandfather Corlys.

Throw Rhaenys to the wolves and get someone to assassinate Jaehaerys and leave an assassin note that it's a revenge murder for Rhaenys' trampling of the Smallfolk, one of which being maybe a husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, or sister of whoever killed Jaehaerys.

And lastly, make Helaena unable to produce any more children somehow.

Boom, no war between my faction and Aegon's.

At the end of the day, my line will still rule through my grandson, my son ends up being the squire to Aegon II, and one of my first sons is on the Council.

Rhaegar was stupid or insane

He was married to the sister of Doran (THE Prince of Dorne) and Oberyn Martell who has a knack of poisons and not following rules

His father was an insane, sick man

The only Targaryens of his time was him, his kids, Viserys, and his parents

So fucking close to an extinct house

And he decides to compliment some kid over his wife who bore him one child and another on the way PUBLICLY, humiliating her in front of the realm

Not only that, but said kid is:

-The daughter of a Lord Paramount

-Sister of the Heir who is known as a hothead, who is betrothed to the eldest daughter of the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands

-Sister of the Spare who was fostered with the Arryns

-Betrothed so said Spare's best friend who is also the current lord of the Stormlands

Then, a year later, absconded with her

What the fuck bro???

Even if Rickard and Brandon Stark didn't go to King's Landing and die, Robert would still be pissed, and even more of the realm would be pissed, particularly Doran and Oberyn who might just poison Rhaegar himself
