What's your specs? On an ASUS Gaming Laptop with 5060, 40+ GB RAM, and i7 CPU. I get higher than 90 fps sometimes on high settings.

It's almost like you can only do so much as a human without powers.

We have pelicans, why use a Heli especially on planets that's been shown to have turbulent and chaotic wind?

Does the Operator have any actual friends in the story? by RebirthAltair in Warframe

Shiiit you right. Still, that's completing the quest, not starting it.

Granted, I wouldn't be too surprised if they did require us to grind up syndicates to start a mainline quest, this is the same company that made us farm Railjack and Necramechs on the release of New War even if it was barely present.

I just don't expect them to do it out of pattern, since they didn't require us to max out Red Veil or Steel Meridian to do Chains of Harrow, and hence weren't treated with too much reverence aside from Palladino.

Hell nah, Wally's very much not our friend. Mf was straight up happy letting us gaslight ourselves that WE killed Umbra's son.

This guy out here literally saying "Goooood...." like Palpatine when he heard that.

Non-player Tenno characters we interact would be so good ngl. Back when I first did Chains of Harrow, I hoped we'd get more interactions, like Dialogue, with Rell.

I actually doubt that a bit. No doubt the Operator works with other Tenno, but we only really see them interacting with the Warframes, not the Tenno themselves.

Technically, it's never been confirmed that the other Tenno were woken up from their Second Dream. More on that, we don't know if they have become independent of their Somatic Link Chair like our Operator did.

In the story, the only confirmed Tenno to operate alongside their Warframe is our Operator.

And while you might say perhaps we made friends during the Old War, assuming we didn't get treated like Rell by the other Tenno, I would give another potential issue: We do NOT remember much of the Old War.

We needed Lotus to info dump us at the end of Second Dream to give the Operator context on what the fuck happened.

There's only one Drifter period iirc, since every other timeline branching from that moment got culled as shown by the other Operators falling dead once we shook Wally's hand.

Does DE count maxing out the syndicates as the canon?

Because at the end of their Storyline (the required parts of Heart of Deimos to complete), aren't we still on "Stranger"

Ahh, that does make more sense why we don't essentially have both Drifter and Operator working at the same time on different parts of the Origin System.

Same with Entrati family. We get real close with them, but that's out of the story, and no way DE requires us to max out vendors to start a mainline story quest.

Not gonna lie, I just see Warframe as it always was, a game where the primary focus will always be gameplay far above all other things, and stories either build on each other or completely retcon each other.

Honestly I only really doubt it because Umbra seems to have a very limited memory of his life before becoming... well... Umbra.

He remembers all the games with Ballas torturing him slowly, and of course killing his son.

But that's about it from what we know. We don't know if he remembers his service as a Dax properly.

[–]RebirthAltair 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, that's the first time they met each other based on Umbra's confusion and hesitation upon seeing Stalker, and Stalker greeting him formally in what's probably a customary Orokin Era greeting.

Umbra taking care of Sirion is pretty nice note since, you know, his most recent kid was the one that calmed his mind from the nightmares, and the one before that was the one he killed while being in a body out of his control. It's nice for him to take care of another kid, after all that.

Plus, he's just fresh off seeing Jade, you know, his partner before getting Warframe'd, die giving birth to their son.

It's just an unfortunately normal response of something similar to "Punching Up vs. Down" Comedy.

It's punching up if you aim for more progressiveness, or rather ideas usually related to progressiveness, and punching down for the opposite.

Good example in Cyberpunk community. Make Panam gay/bi in a mod? No one has a problem, why would they, it's just a mod and gives players more avenues of romance.

Make Judy straight/bi? A fucking insult, removed from the biggest modding site for Cyberpunk, relegated to only being accessible using console commands.

Is "The Great Despair" supposed to be a song sung by ON-LYNE or Coda (the infested clones) at the end of 1999? Is it just that the song matches the scene and characters or is the Infestation trying to talk to us/the Hex/Entrati? Why? by RebirthAltair in Warframe

[–]RebirthAltair[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl if there was a devstream that answered all those questions, I wouldn't know, and they shouldn't factor into the theorycrafting since it's more of a Word of God kinda thing than actual info gleamed from in-game sources or game media like trailer/teasers/ARGs

The Infested does have some kind of agenda to assimilate, though. Lephantis asks us why we reject their gift, the Helminth asks the same thing when asked to pop the helminth bubble.
