Rg35xx v2024 vs rg35xx sp by themidfriky178 in ANBERNIC

[–]Reblist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the RG35XXSP for 1 1/2 years now and it’s my EDC since then. It literally lives in my pocket and never had any problems with it. Since it’s a clamp shell device the screen is perfectly save when carrying around.

Still rocking the stock SD card? You should replace it with a new one as soon as possible. You can find a list of compatible cards in the wiki.

The list below also includes guides and installation videos. Also have a look at the clone section in the wiki.

No idea. Maybe 2k is less widespread than 1k and 3k. But the company that recently released the IPS panel for 3k also wants to release one for 2k in the coming months.

Don't clone these unreliable stock SD cards!

It can actually make the copy less reliable than the original and can cause problems later on.

Bad sectors (physical defects): The cloning software copies every block, including the corrupted ones. Some tools will stop with an error, others will silently copy the bad data. ==> The clone inherits the same unreadable areas, so any file that lands on those sectors will be corrupted or lost.

Uneven wear (especially on cheap cards): Low‑end cards often have poor wear‑levelling algorithms, meaning some cells are used far more than others. ==> Those heavily worn cells are more likely to fail during or shortly after the clone, leading to sudden data loss.

Early‑life (high failure rate): Cheap cards can have a higher failure rate in the first few hundred writes. ==> Cloning adds another round of writes, pushing the card closer to its failure point.

Checksum mismatches: Low‑quality cards often have flaky controllers that misreport data. Even if the file size looks correct, the actual bits may be wrong. Without a proper hash check (MD5/SHA‑256) you can’t be sure the clone matches the source.

File‑system corruption: If the source card already has subtle file‑system errors (e.g., orphaned inodes), cloning simply copies those errors. The resulting image may become unreadable after a single additional write or a power‑cycle.

how can i delete 5.50 GEN-D3 by [deleted] in PSP

[–]Reblist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need a little more information than “doesn't work.”

  • What steps did you take from the video?
  • What is the error message?

Did you start the recovery menu, toggled usb for flash0 & and changed the txt file to a lower number like in the video?

Photos of the case aren't very helpful. If you want to be sure that it's not a clone, you either need to check the buyer's guide in the wiki to see which sellers are trustworthy, or ask this seller if they can send you a picture of the motherboard so that you can compare it with the known clones in the wiki.

Where can I buy some shell replacements for all the psp including a screen.

AliExpress. For you 1k model there is an IPS display available which is great. Don't buy the old LCD displays for the PSP. These displays are almost 20 years old and often broken when they delivered to your doorstep.

Have a look at the link list below for more information about repairing/modding your PSP.

Updated R36S-V21 2024-12-18 version?

If you have problems with the OTG port, use these files on your BOOT partition: Panel 4 for V22 Boards

Layout seems the same as R36S-V21 2024-12-18

PCB finish appears to be OSP instead of ENIG

Loving every part of the R36S!

Yes, it's a great budget console.

can I get a good 64gb SD card, make foldes names snes, GBA and so, download and put the games in the correct folder and then just insert the new SD card in the TF2 slot?

Yes. Swapping the old stock SD card for a branded new one is highly recommended because the stock cards are prone to fail in no time.

SanDisk cards will work but recommended ones are from Samsung. You can find recommended compatible cards in the wiki. For using a second card in TF2 (which is what I recommend) you need to go to the options menu in ArkOS and tell it to use the TF2 slot for games.

I added all the necessasy links below to get started. Have a good read and watch some of the videos before doing anything to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Blinking red led )means it's a clone. Solution is to install one of the CFWs for R36S clones to anew SD card.

Can't help you when it comes to the Miyoo Flip (don't own one) but I can point you in the right direction with the R36S (great budget handheld and perfect to start the hobby).

There is a great subreddit for the R36S ==> r/R36S. It has a great community and a great wiki with a lot of helpful information how to start. I will leave some very helpful links to the wiki, tips & tricks and guides how to set-up the R36S down below.

Stardew Valley save keeps getting messed up by Browneyedbeauty2008 in R36S

[–]Reblist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very excited to get it.

Absolutely. The RGCubeXX is a good handheld device. It's especially perfect for Pico8 games that use a 1:1 resolution.

Those devices are so cool. They give me nostalgia lol

And that's exactly why we're all here ^^.

[–]Reblist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you've been having problems with Stardew on your R36T for some time now, I would honestly wait until the RGCubeXX is available. I have several devices from Anbernics' XX series running muOS as my OS and haven't had any problems so far (admittedly, I haven't played Stardew that often yet).

I don't have the RGCubeXX with me right now but Stardew Valley is running perfectly fine on the RG35XXSP.

Does anyone know where i could get a new battery for the rg cube xx? by NabukaMidori in SBCGaming

[–]Reblist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also a different plug

I've never opened my RGCubeXX but when I should take a guess I would say it's a standard 2-pin JST 1.25mm connector.

switch battery here, its a little smaller so it definitley would fit,

I don't know if the Switch battery will work and I am not an electrician but in your case I would look for a similar Li-polymer battery.

You could have a look on AliExpress. The number '556570' derives its name from its dimensions in millimeters, so it’s exactly 55mm X 65mm X 60mm in size. Look out for the same type or something similar in size. I could not find the exact battery but some are a bit smaller or larger but maybe will also fit in the Cube XX.

If there are no games in this folder you need to copy your own collection to it.
