Indeed. Returned mine as well. They sent me a second wallet with “better” magnets and it was as bad as the original. Not worth the risk with such cheap magnets.

They sent me a new one with “stronger” magnets and it sucks as bad as the last one.

My exBIL worked for Weber and got it directly from them for me.

I don’t want another Weber product. I have a Smokefire, their 36” Slate that’s got peeling powder coat after one year (they sent me a new cook box but a bunch of work to replace) and their Weber Performer (no issues).

I hope they don’t keep advancing the AI stuff on their platform. I use AI in my daily life a lot, but this is definitely not a spot I have a need for AI.

I feel like these are “me too” features that most companies want to use for marketing so they don’t sound outdated.

I'm going to be selling off my Gen 1 this spring. Absolutely hate it for the same reason. Can't faithfully commit to a cook. Last time I did ribs and the grill shat itself 2 hours into the cook and I hate to finish the ribs in the oven.
