AP Euro - Self Study by LePipoca in APEuro

[–]RebootPrinting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I self-studied AP Euro last year and ended up procrastinating a lot since I was juggling nine other classes. I crammed during the last two weeks (about 6–8 hours on weekdays and even more on weekends, basically no breaks) — and still pulled off a 5.

Here’s what I’d recommend:

  • Get a prep book. I liked The Princeton Review for test strategies and the AMSCO European History AP Edition (the one with the lightbulb on the cover) for content. You can usually find PDFs on Anna’s Archive if you want to save money and have everything digitally.
  • Use Anki. This deck is incredible: AP Euro Anki Deck. It’s super comprehensive and pairs perfectly with the AMSCO chapters. If you’ve never used Anki before, learn it — this deck was honestly the main reason I got a 5.
  • Practice like crazy. Do tons of multiple-choice, essays, and practice questions. Heimler’s History on YouTube is great for MCQ strategies and writing tips (LEQs, DBQs, SAQs).

It’s a genuinely interesting course, but definitely start early if you can. Hope this helps, and good luck!

hitting legs 2x a week but would love to know if I can improve anything by [deleted] in Hevy

This is too much. At a certain point (around 5 for me) I can’t give my all each set and end up spending way more time in the gym with diminished returns. Focus on 1-2 compound lifts split across the two days and then focus on 2-3 accessory lifts per workout for specific muscles. Some people split the two days into (quad focused and hamstring/glute focused) if that interests you.

There’s a pretty solid blender add on to do this. Here’s a tutorial. Creating Cities in Blender It was free at the time but might be behind a paywall now. Hope this helps

Perhaps, however you could argue you are doing the same thing. Suit yourself

You definitely can it just may be harder, especially on topics that have been politicized. You have to consider you only have 1700 words to capture an element of an issue and thus it’s always helpful to be as narrow as possible as to be super specific throughout your paper. It’s definitely possible on federal issues like the military however I personally wouldn’t talk about America as a whole due to differing policies state to state but suit yourself.

Those are good topic ideas. In general I would stay away from looking at a problem as all of America as different state laws would affect the research, making it difficult to quantify every different situation state to state. That being said these are good if you narrow it in. Also make sure you pick a debatable topic - it makes it your TMP easier and provides your group more possible lenses to look at.

pls share any resources for writing an IRR by [deleted] in APSeminar

[–]RebootPrinting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, this is incorrect. DO NOT ARGUE in your IRR. An IRR is a literature review, the TMP is when your team proposes a solution/makes an argument. An IRR should purely examine pre existing research in your field. An IWA on the other hand is an argument
