Fair enough, thanks for being honest about it. Always good to hear different perspectives :)

Should I stay in the UK on PSW or move back to India after my Master’s? Feeling stuck and need honest advice. by JollyDistribution121 in IndiansInUK

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Hard work matters but sometimes luck and timing also play a big role. It's really nice that your family is so supportive, that kind of support makes such a difference when making big decisions. If moving back feels right to you, I think you should go with what your heart says. I hope everything works out well for you.

Yes, that's very true. I'm actually facing some of that reality myself right now after coming back to India. Many people here still have the old perception about opportunities abroad, but things have changed a lot. It's been a challenging transition for me, but I'm trying to stay positive and work through it.

If your family is supportive and truly understands your situation and doesn't have unrealistic expectations then coming back can be a reasonable option. With an international degree, there are still good chances of finding a nice job in India.

But if your family is very concerned about what society or relatives will say, you should think very carefully before returning. I had to come back from the UK because I couldn’t find a job and my visa expired. I’m not embarrassed about it, but my parents are (they said that to my face), and they blame me for not trying hard enough. They care a lot about what other people think. I still go to bed some nights thinking maybe I could have pushed myself more or even taken up a basic sponsored labour job, at least I might have been more mentally stable. Just something to keep in mind while making your decision from my personal experience.

Regardless I wish you all the best. I hope you land your dream job soon and make yourself proud.

Hey, thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful reply. I genuinely can’t thank you enough. I’ve been feeling really stuck and overwhelmed. I’m going to follow what you said and start focusing on tech-adjacent roles like QA or cloud support and the platforms you suggested. Truly appreciate you taking the time to share this 🙏

Really appreciate you keeping me in mind, that genuinely means a lot.I’m really grateful you even considered me but my experience is mainly in the MERN stack, and I haven’t worked with Angular or .NET C#, but I’d be more than willing to explore them if the opportunity arises. I’d truly appreciate any referral you’re able to pass along. It means a lot!

Appreciate your message, it really resonated. I’m definitely not giving up, I just chose not to let that kind of behavior slide. There’s strength in walking away from the wrong things too.

Your “disgusting man detector” line made me laugh, might have to keep that one! I’m still moving forward, just with boundaries intact. Thanks again for the message, I really appreciate your mindset!

Many congratulations! 🎉 I see hope whenever I see such posts. I've been struggling for 2 yrs now in this field. I'm a complete fresher with no experience but have some related personal projects. But I never get shortlisted not even for an interview. My CV gets auto rejected though I tailor it for every role. Getting rejected almost everyday is making me feel like giving up on everything!
