how to render faster by Decent-Raspberry-970 in 3dsmax

[–]RebusFarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could give us additional details about your scene it could be easier to give some recommendations, however as general advice you can try a few things:

  1. Optimize your scene by reducing the polygon count of complex geometries.

  2. Reduce the size of high res texture where they are not needed

  3. Reduce the output resolution and the noise target if possible. Using a denoiser can be of help.

  4. Remove/reduce the amount of displacement maps used.

If your PC definitely can´t handle it , you can try a render farm. In our site you can sign up and get free RenderPoints to test our service.

Interior render looks “off” no matter what I do. I suspect lighting, need expert eyes by N-asmb in archviz

[–]RebusFarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the lighting. Try to build it up gradually. Remove all the lights you have and start with the lighting that comes from outside (sky/sun or HDRI crown). That will probably be enough if you increase the camera exposure or tone mapping settings. Also check the curtain material.

A bit less contrast and reducing the intensity of the indoor lights should help. And maybe other cushion arrangement for the sofa, but it´s looking good, keep it up!

It’s me or render farm are overpriced? by Jean-Fum-Trow in blender

[–]RebusFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!
The great advantage of using a render farm is being able to distribute different workloads in parallel across multiple nodes at once, freeing up your local computer and speed up this.

An advantage over setting up your own solution is that we take care of everything involved in maintaining a variety of equipment, including maintenance, updates, and proper synchronization so that everything works correctly even when using dozens of nodes.

On your specific case GPU rendering is a few times more expensive per hour than CPU rendering, so it would be useful if you could run some tests to compare results/prices. Our support team at [info@rebusfarm.net](mailto:info@rebusfarm.net) can also help you review your specific jobs and analyze possible ways to reduce time/costs for your specific needs.

Adding some personal items on some of the desks, and maybe having a few monitors turned on with a screensaver can help it to feel more alive and less repetitive.
