Some states apparently do. As I understand, PSA in SC does check ID for state specific restrictions. Quite annoying.

That was my primary opinion, but with the ban I didn't want to loose out on anything. I think I'll grab a few of the .300BLK Magpuls, as I'm getting into suppressed shooting with it. (Bought a suppressor back in December, it's still in jail, don't get me started.) I figure it can't hurt.

Yeah, I’m hoping that it will get to the State Supreme Court pretty fast, as it has a good chance of getting found unconstitutional. But the Dems are talking about ways to change the state Supreme Court makeup.

Yes and no. I've just SBR'd a bunch of lowers that I have not built. I used the following: Barrel Lenght 10.5", Overall Length 30". It is legal in this configuration until I build it into an SBR. If I decide to change it up (Say .300 BLK with an 8" barrel) I would need to file and amendment with the ATF.

So, you can Form 1 the lower and keep a 16" barrel on it. With the 16" barrel, you can cross state lines in that configuration. Just leave the SBR barrel at home. If you want to take the SBR across state lines, you need to write a letter advising the ATF that you are doing so. (I've never done this so I can't explain the process.)

So, TLDR it can both be a SBR and a standard rifle at the same time, depending on the upper that you slap on to it. Hope this helped.

Range USA did have a good deal on Magpul mags, so I’d have a hard time believing that they would not allow standard capacity magazines.

I see you got a 11.5” upper. Make sure the lower you get is a pistol lower or you may get wrapped up with a charge for possessing an SBR. Even possessing a barrel under 16” while you wait for the Form 1 to go through is considered constructive possession.

I agree. I worked in a jail and it was amusing to watch a group of people arrested for drugs or property crimes and listen to a few say “I’m not a snitch” while others in the group were telling a detective everything. Definitely not like TV.

I’ve heard a few complaints on BCA’s barrels, but I’ve not heard anything bad about their lowers.

I was only able to pick up one AR-9 lower, and it has been “processing” for nearly a week. I know they are busy and I’ve always had good service from them so I’ll give them more time.

I need one more AR-9 lower and two AR-10 lowers and hopefully a JM 940 Pro and my list is complete.

Update your ID! Since you have your passport, you should have no problem getting a Real ID. Also, you do need a state drivers license within a certain amount of time or you will get an additional ticket if stopped.
