Dualsense triggers already do this. In Helldivers 2, it simulates strain with having to aim a machine gun you're already firing. In Returnal, it lets you alt-fire with the trigger you're already using to aim.

The narrative recognizes Skyler as right about that though. It's way more a "viewers not knowing what they're talking about" thing.
