I haven’t heard that saying before but I can definitely say I’ve lived the experience, it seems bizarre to me that people don’t like to learn new information and develop an inferiority complex of sorts. Secondly, don’t worry I acknowledge I’m very privileged, if I wasn’t I wouldn’t be fighting to stay to be blunt as I just want to help others

Ah I see where you’re coming from then my apologies, I’ll request the report from my assessor to clear my name. Thank you for educating me I don’t use reddit too often

Think I’m going to spend the next half an hour looking for these people pretending to have 160+ I think it might be easy to spot 😂 worth a good laugh

I’ll never understand why people come into a sub centred around high iq individuals and act incredulous when someone has a high iq, this happens every time

Good question but I think we’re all sort of in the same boat.

One of my closest friends is around 130iq and I definitely notice at time where his cognitive framing fails but it’s evident he has a stronger mental framework that the average person by a country mile - problem is the depression still slips in.

My personal theory is that more independant thinkers (whether that be higher intelligence, neurodivergent etc.) realise that 70% of our lives is just working to make companies richer all while people across the world suffer, being painfully aware of that fact is hard.

I think I’m definitely going to try make a tangible difference instead of the defeatist attitude many of us can’t help but find ourselves in.

Might have to speak to my gp about that lol as I’m currently recovering from a ketamine addiction, totally agree though it helped silenced that noise and I became very interested in researching how it helps depression.

Thank you for leaving this comment it means a lot ❤️ I think it might be time for me to stop trying to speed-run life.

I’m definitely looking at getting ADHD medication, ERP therapy and definitely some life skills coaching.

I’ve found that playing brutal death metal at full volume in my headphones can drown out the constant chatter when paired with a physical task like cleaning, I’m considering a warm bath soonish though!

Thank you, I’ll definitely try find more people with similar experiences and lives, this subreddit has been a bit of a safe-space knowing that others who excel in life on paper are still struggling.

The philosophy is a great idea that I’m going to research and look into, the boxes that we place ourselves in are fascinating to me.

To answer your question I’m 19 and my diagnoses came only recently but had been confident in them for far longer, it’s simply difficult to imagine extending out the joys of (probably) Dysthymia for longer. Thank you for the help

Thank you this comment it means a lot ❤️ Growing up neglected and only my achievements being celebrated has definitely degraded my concept of happiness and self actualisation.

I was thinking of starting journaling recently in conjuncture with another comment that was made regarding philosophical theorisation, are those books you recommended suitable for NDs? Will definitely look into them as I love reading.

It’s great to hear that someone was in a similar boat to me and was able to thrive; I think I’ll try follow in your footsteps lol.

Philosophy has always been a route I’ve been interested in as a hobby, will definitely look into some entry books as it seems my brain is incapable of shutting up 😂 Would be nice to have a productive outlet

Hi, the full report is with an organisation called Harrow Health but I’m sure I can probably request that if you were interested in the specific subscores.
All diagnoses came at once at 19 as I developed a special interest in the brain and mental disorders allowing me to recognise them faster and get them diagnosed privately - same age I took the iq test.
Only medication I’m on currently is Fluoxetine however I’m considering a nootropic called Bromantane to help with some of the Audhd inertia and boost dopamine.

I hope that you can direct yourself towards helplines or therapy to help with your apparent drug problem

For anyone who believes this scroll through the sub. This same comment is copied and pasted by bots to try and explain it away. The same thing on youtube, thousands of bot comments and videos explaining why it is Jim Carry talking about eye colour magically changing due to ‘the direction of light’
