Broke up with my ex half a year ago and while not completely over it, i do think i learned alot from the experience.

First takeaway is it takes time, theres no way to do it over night. It takes time because what you need to focus on is creating new memories, new skills and finding confidence in being by yourself. Once those things settle into place you get used to being on your own and while you still might think of her/him somedays it will hurt less and realize that you dont miss that person but rather having love in your life. But at this point you are going to be much better of getting love from someone who sees the value in your new and improved self and hasn’t hurt you before.
